Tribe visits the Royals

  • BRF
Our Tribe comes off a 3/4 series win against the Mariners and heads east to the Show Me state to take on the highly thought of, by some, KC Royals.

All three games (Tuesday Wednesday Thursday) start at 8:10 est.

Once again, I don't know the pitching match ups, nor do I give a shit.

    Just win.

    Go Tribe.

    Go Tribe!

I know we throw Carrasco, Kluber and Bauer, so I am hoping for a series win.

GREAT to take 3/4 from the Ms (avoiding Felix helped a lot). Always hard to win on the WC, and always hard to win a 4 game series. To do both has to give the Tribe a lot of confidence heading into KC.

Guthrie, Vargas, and Young going for the Royals.

Solid series win in Seattle. Let's get another in KC. The Twins have jumped into 1st place but the Royals (and Tigers) still feel like the team to beat.

Do we know how long we have to wait into June before Lindor can be called up and not lose a year of arbitration on him?? I am getting sick of Jose Ramirez.

The Royals pen is great. Gonna need to get lucky tonight.

Outstanding outing from CC. Really good pitching on both sides tonight. Good game between what appears to be two good teams.

Brantley! First run given up by Davis all year.

And as a bonus, Davis threw almost 40 pitches, so he is definitely out for 1 of the next 2 games.

Ballgame. What a pitching performance from the Tribe.

Kluber gets the ball tomorrow. Would love to win the series with a game to spare.

Carrasco first to 7 wins for the Tribe. He has been great of late (as has the whole staff pretty much).

Just great pitching all around. The bullpen was lights out. The only thing that concerned me last night was that the situational hitting continues to suck.

Agreed but I have to give some credit to the Royals staff, which has been excellent. These are the type of games we need to play with them. We can't get into slug fests. The Tribe are starting to look like a ball club, folks.

As a bonus...it is always nice to be the only team in the division to win on a given night.

^^^That was sweet...picked up a game on everybody. Just 5 1/2 out of fist.
  • BRF
    ^^^^ I like that.
  • HitsRus
    That is funny.

What a night of pitching, I love what Carrasco has done since about last August. He has been quite simply, amazing.

Would love for Klubes to get the win tonight then go for the sweep.

The best comment I read was "There have been many times in the past that I wish the Indians bullpen had given us a 50 gallon drum of lube."

    Excited typing? :-)

^^^LOL...If they pick up that 5 1/2, I'll be pumping my fist!

    That inning was sad.

Double plays just killed us last nite :( .... Offense was not the same without Brantley in the middle of it. (yeah I know, he needs days off, too.)

On a positive note, Michael Bourn seems to be breaking out of his slump.
On a negative note, Nick Swisher does not. I don't know how much longer you can keep him in the lineup, especially in a key position in the batting order.

Bourn is batting around .300 since May 1. He generated a run by himself yesterday with incredible speed and hustle to turn a routine looking single into a double. Moved to 3rd on a ground out and scored on a single.
