Tribe at Seattle

  • BRF
So....we head out to the state of Washington for a four game series in hopes of getting back on track with winning series.

The first three games start at 10:10 pm with the fourth game on Sunday having a 4:10 start.

I will probably not post on this thread much more because those games are too late for an old fuck like me.

I do not know what the pitching match ups are, nor do I give a shit.

    Just win.

That is all I care about.

    Go Tribe.

We avoid Felix. All I care about.

BRF started the thread....I have a good feeling about this.... :)

Finally some games on at a normal time for me. But on the other hand, I have a pot that needs watching in case it starts to boil.

tribe sitting about 7 games back, % points ahead of the White sox.

They are showing signs of waking up. The Twins are still playing well but the Royals and Tigers are at least starting to drop a couple here and there. I thought we were going to be battling multiple '27 Yankee teams there for a minute.

I don't mind the West Coast games on the weekend. I won't see much tonight but Friday and Saturday I usually don't mind staying up. I have a 7:30 tee time Saturday morning so I may not make it up for Friday either now that I think about it.

    Go Tribe.

Moss, in the 7-hole, goes deep. Tribe has 5 hits through 2, but naturally the HR was a solo shot...4

4 two out hits so far.
  • lhslep134
Anyone back east staying up for the game? I'll be tuned in the whole time
  • TBone14
I'm still up. Not sure for how long. Kipnis with an RBI single in the Tribe's 3 run 4th. 4-1 now.

That was Kip's 48th hit in May. He is some rare air as he is threatening 50 hits and 30 runs in a single month.
  • Laley23
Kipnis' May has already been ridiculous. But we are talking historic levels if he has a good last 3 games in Seattle.

Id rather a Middle Reliever no doubt, but still been a crazy month.

Remember foot wedge saying we should trade kipnis for a relief pitcher lolololololol

Oh, and I will likely be up the entire game. But, no guarantees once 1am hits...

Are you watching with the Hammy overlay?
  • lhslep134
That Kluber strikeout of Cruz was just an awesome battle to watch. 13 K's for Kluber through 7.

No, only certain devices allow it. Laptops are not one of them. I can only do that via my Roku when I am not on the road.

Damn that sucks. Hammy has been going nuts over Kluber lol
  • Laley23
I got the WTAM feed when I switched to the old media player. Something must be acting up with the new one that just got rolled out.
  • Laley23
Great start to the road trip, and this 4 game set.

Nice for Kluber to start getting some support and Ws.
  • HitsRus
^^^^yep! Kluber seems to be almost unhittable when you get him a lead to work with.
  • TBone14
Nice win. The west coast trips have been an area where we have stubbed our toes in recent years so hopefully this is sign of what is to come.

Kipnis- my god. From Cleveland.com this morning.

He's hitting .449 (48-for-107) with 13 doubles, three triples, four homers and 16 RBI in May. He's scored 28 runs, and drawn 14 walks.

And he still has 3 games left in May. If you take his numbers in the 26 games in May and take them for a full season....he's has 297 hits, 80 doubles, 16 triples, 25 homers, 100 RBIs and 173 runs scored.
  • Laley23
Kipnis has a chance to be in a category with some of he best hitters ever (and Richard Hidalgo...LOL) no matter what stats you pair together. It has been a historic month. I personally think Prince gets POTM, but it should be Kipnis. Kluber will be a distant third, and probably wins it the rest of the year with his numbers. Both of those guys have been unreal in May.
  • HitsRus
I would trade any POTM honors for the team being being 10 games over .500 on July 1st.
