Absolutely zero margin for error on a nightly basis.

It is amazing the starting pitching holds up as well as it does when they take the bump every night knowing a few early runs and the game is likely over.

I'm sensitive? LOL. Bunghole you have no sense of humor.

sure you want more....but three runs would have won the game the night before, as well as a few others this season.

good win last nite....keep it going.

I have a sense of humor. I find it hilarious that your education was so low after high school that you had to go to a college in Appalachia.

Michael Brantley's two-run double has broken open a tight game in the seventh... 4-1 Tribe..,, still batting with one out in the seventh.

What a laser Brantley hit. Ramirez has been the spoon stirring the drink this series.

Solid debut for Marcum in his first big league start since 2013. 6 innings. 3 hits. A run and 6ks through 6 and back out for the 7th.

Seriously, look at his #s in the 2-hole LAST year...and then this year.

Makes no sense why Tito hasnt had him there all season. Its the only complaint I really have of his line-ups since he has taken over. Just stupid.

Allen has himself in a jam.

    They are never easy.

    Pitt is in Appalachia?

Yes. It looks like geography isn't a strong area either.

    We have a winning "streak!"

And yes, Pittsburgh is West Virginia "North."

Tribe jumped out 5-0 after 2.

Still the score in the 7th.

Salazar has worked around 5 hits and 3 walks so far.
  • TBone14
    Tribe a winner tonight.

3 of 4 from the Sox. 5 of 7 overall and back to back series wins on the road.

The struggling Reds coming to town for the holiday weekend. Gotta grab another series from them.

    ....only 6 games under .500.

Tribe wins 5-2, for its first 3 game winning streak. Shaw gives up a 2 run dinger with 2 out in the 9th......but the Tribe wins this one early.
  • Laley23
Offense was good throughout, but lacking that big knockout blow. Was refreshing to see us threaten in multiple innings.

Pitching got the job done. Salazar wasn't perfect, but he was when needed. Shaw sucked again. But overall, solid game, solid series and solid road trip.
  • HitsRus
This could have easily been a 4 game sweep....the Tribe wasted Kluber's sold 9 inning performance in game 1.
    Baby steps.....

Just be at 500 or a couple games over at all star break and I'll feel confident in our chances to make a push in August and September

I was thinking the same thing. Just be .500 at the end of June and we'll be within shouting distance. They are 6 under right now with two very winnable series at home vs the Reds and Rangers. If they take 4 of 6...we are sitting at 17-23...that would put us 21-25 and closing out May in Seattle who isn't playing great either. Win that series and would be only 2 games under heading to June. June is manageable. 9 games vs KC and Detroit with 6 on the road will be the tough ones.

This team is not as bad as it has been playing in the early going, but watching them dig themselves into a hole has not been pleasant.
