Can we cut Bruce fucking Chen already?

    Fire Francona???

Not a chance. He has been worth 10-15 wins a season minimum since he got here over what we would have without him.

What we need is to stop with the thrift store bullshit like Bruce Chen every year because the Dolan's refuse to field a team full of guys who can still play every year.

Good win last night ...the bullpen picking up the starting pitching and the bats catching fire. Kipnis joins Brantley as one of the AL's top hitters. Despite their inconsistency, the one thing you can say about this team, is that it never quits.

Still want to trade Kip for a middle reliever, footwedge?

If we keep trotting Bruce Chen out there we might have to as it's like burning 2 starters every time he pitches. It will just kill the bullpen.

Yeah, should have dumped Kipnis for a reliever...no doubt. Just like everybody else, sometimes I'm dead wrong. We have 3 guys tearing the cover off the ball...then we have Bourn. Ramirez, and even Santana stinking out the place. And our relievers are horrible. Hope I'm wrong again, but I think the season is over.

Today is a huge game for the rest of the season I think.

We have not won back to back games since game 3 on April 9th (it is now game 39) and we are near the 1/4 mark of the season.

Every day that passes with the win one/lose one (or more) makes the hole that much deeper as far as having to play at a ridiculous clip the rest of the way to try and get to 90 wins or so that it will likely take to get into the play in game.

You are exactly right when you say "just like everybody else ".... Nobody, not even Mark Schapiro and Chris Antonelli, are going to be right all the time. You may have been right that we should have traded a middle infielder (not necessarily for a middle reliever)... But that "someone" should have been José Ramirez. :(

How dare you suggest the Dolans and Shaponetti consider prioritizing winning over "team control" of a prospect.

You should know by now as an Indians fan what is really important.

One does have to start wondering. In today's PD, there was some info there that has set me off. Shawn Marcum, who pitched really well in the spring, has posted these numbers....4-0...1.26 ERA opponents hitting 207 against him. Yet, management has paraded out Chen...not once but twice. What's up with that?

Also, some things on Lindor that I didn't know. He won defensive shortstop of the year in both the Eastern and Midwest Leagues over the past 4 years. But the naysayers are bitching about a 261 BA. Now the plan is to makes Aviles the everyday ss once he gets healthy. Fuck that.

It's the middle of May and they are buried in the basement. Do they want to win? Then play your best players.

Chen has been DFA'd. Austin Adams has been recalled considering that the pen has been spent last night.

Tribe and Rangers in a slugfest....7-7 after 7. Danny Salazar did not have his stuff although he managed to make it thru 5 innings
  • Footwedge
Jose Ramirez makes an unbelievably bad base running blunder leading off the eighth which costs them the game as the inning unfolded. Atchison throws a hanging slider to the number 9 hitter and he hits it 500 feet.

It's time for Francona to be held accountable for this team's horror show. Danny Salazar had no business being allowed to throw away the lead like that.

^^^uhhhh, Tribe wins two straight on a Jason Kipnis HR.

Lets not go crazy, they Rangers are just had crappy as the Indians are right now.
  • Laley23
Of we had a capable middle reliever, we wouldn't have needed Kipnis' heroics though...
  • Crimson streak

^^Probably true, but the kid isn't exactly tearing it up down there either.

good news.....Yan Gomes and TJ House provided the starting battery for the Lake Erie Captains Friday and looked good in their first rehab starts.

Honestly I think it's one of those cases where he needs that call up to the big leagues to get going.

    Can't be worse than Chen.
  • IggyPride00
The Tribe's 1,2,3 hitters are as of right now all hitting higher than .324.

It doesn't seem like real life.

    Welp, series win!!
