Reds visit the steelers. Game 2

  Nice win last night. Byrd maybe is starting to come around. Good win for the rookie last night as well. Chapman struggled and threw I believe over 30 pitches but I imagine he is available tonite if need be.

  Reds maybe gave away the game in the 1st inning, not scoring after the first two reach and then double steal. Votto and Frazier at fualt for trying to get multiple RBIs in their ABs rather than the one they could get by making the proper out. If Votto gets a grounder to the right of the P, Hamilton scores, and Byrd goes to 3rd, from where he can score on a grounder away from the pitcher or a fly ball from Frazier. But they get nothing when runs will be at a premium against Cole.

  Joey gets tossed for throwing his bat and spiking his helmet.
  
  Doesn't realize it right away and the sprints at the HP ump and proceeds to bump him slightly. Ump flies back like he was shot. Sure fire suspension coming for Joey.
  
  Here's my question. The 3rd base ump came running in to help separate Joey and the ump and Bryan Price. While doing so, he grabbed and made contact with Joey. Does the ump face any discipline? Obviously the answer is no, but the League is extremely hypocritical in this case.

  Reds come back though to take a 3-0 lead, but Negron having throwing problems in the 5th. Three high wide ones, but only one error. Leake prevails though by getting more ground balls that inning than he should have needed, and Reds hold to the 3 run lead. I hope this doesn't start a head case problem with Negron not able to consistently make good throws.

  Leake pitches around bad defense again in the 6th. Defense cost him several extra of his most stressful pitches in the last 2 innings.

  Leake is getting it done.
  
  Votto should not have been tossed but then he really assed up slightly bumping the ump. He might be gone 3-5 games.

  Votto being out will completely kill this lineup. He makes it go.

  Votto will get suspended....appeal it....and then play the game to maybe drop the appeal when a lesser series comes along!
