2015 NFL Draft Thread

I"m not gonna lie. He's a solid fantasy pick, in the late rounds....but wouldn't want him on my team in real life lol.

He's a good fit in Baltimore. Slides right into the Torrey Smith role of "run fast in a straight line and let Flacco chuck it".
  • Lovejoy1984
Exactly my point. Should be good for 10 TD's strictly because of that.
  • Mulva
    Another weapon for Luck.

    2 1sts
    a 2nd
    Fletcher Cox
    Brandon Boykin
    Mychal Kendricks
Old Chipper has kind of alienated a few players with his offer. I wouldn't be surprised if he continues to try to reach out to the Titans and offers even more.

Their best offensive play is Pass Interference.

A rather boring first round overall. Only real surprise to me was Gurley going so early.

Ian Rappaport says the eagles offered this to the titans for MM...
    • Two first-round picks
    • One third-round pick
    • Fletcher Cox, the team's best defensive player
    • Brandon Boykin, nickel corner
    • Sam Bradford, starting quarterback
    • Mychal Kendricks, starting linebacker

Chip Kelly is doing a great job of making me in Madden football seem like a sane franchise-builder.

If that is true, I don't think I could pass that up.

Holy shit, that is insane. I'm not buyin it.

That's insane on a lot of fronts. #1) Insane that the Titans passed, #2) Insane that the Eagles offered that

Yeah it's hard to believe anybody would pass that up.

Too hard to believe. I call BS.

    Yep http://mmqb.si.com/2015/05/01/marcus-mariota-tennessee-titans-nfl-draft/
    • The Eagles, as Kelly said Thursday night in Philadelphia, never offered players as part of a package to obtain Mariota. In fact, The MMQB learned Thursday night that Kelly never offered the widely rumored packages of either three first-round picks or two first-round picks and Sam Bradford, in an attempt to obtain the second pick of the draft. I can tell you this much is true: The Titans basically scared off suitors because they continually told teams they wanted to take Mariota, and it would take a stupid offer to obtain the pick. In the end, Tennessee GM Ruston Webster and coach Ken Whisenhunt stuck to their guns.

Too hard to believe an organization would even offer that for a QB with so many question marks.
  • thavoice
Of course kelly is going to say he didnt offer any players in the deal.

Kelly has said he believes MM will win multiple super bowls. If as a coach you believe it....why not go for it?
Yeah..that is a lot to offer but I think he is desperate as he has what....Barkely and Bradford on teh roster after trading foles?

You are so stupid if you think Chip actually offered all of that. The Titans said they would accept a "stupid" (stupid as in fantastic, not stupid as I'm using it to describe you) offer and the Eagles offer qualifies as "stupid" and then some. If that was actually offered the Titans would be bigger idiots for turning it down that Chip was for offering.

Which is why that trade, as you listed it, was never on the table.

Just putting out there was Ian Rapaport reported last night.

Kelly is desperate for a qb...wouldnt put it past him to try.
  • thavoice
..and Tebow. Forgot about that signing.
So they Bradford, Tebow and Barkley as a QB. The other guy they had on the roster as a QB, Kinne, apparently is not a QB anymore for them although he could play it in a pinch.

I dont really see a QB on that roster that is gonna be great at running that offense and I bet Kelly did sell out to try and get MM.

You can say it was never on the table, who knows. I am just putting out there what Rapapport reported. I know he isnt as legit as your Mary Kay Cabot of the browns but hey, who is right?
  • Pick6
    Mark Sanchez?

    Oh yeah.

    Forgot about him.

14/11 last year and 82/80 TD/INT in his career.
Not so sure that is the answer either. Kelly was in love with MM and wanted him by all accounts. Looks like they struck out.

    Giants trade with Titans.....
  • Automatik
    Devin Smith to the Jets.
