Tribe @ Twins (Series Thread)
-
Laley23Well, everything always seems better after a win! That and the news of Carrasco made today a good day in Tribe land.
We head northwest to Minny to take on the Twins. These are the games the Tribe MUST take car of business in. We get to throw Kluber, but unfortunately, not Carrasco due to him being pushed a day. Who knows what would happen in a make-up, but a "snow-out" wouldnt be the worst as we would avoid starting a call-up (is Salazar on proper rest??). If we had Carrasco Sunday, I would be hoping for a sweep. As the pitching stands, and with Gomes out (but Brantley back), Im hoping for 2-1 but a sweep would make me very happy.
Friday:
Kluber (0-1) vs Pelfrey (0-0)
Saturday:
House (0-1) vs Hughes (0-2)
Sunday:
????????? vs May (0-1) -

TBone14The Twins are terrible but still can't expect sweeps on the road. It would be nice. Gotta get 2 of 3. The key to this season is that we NEED to dominate the Twins because the Tigers and Sox will. And if we are going to go 5-14 vs the Tigers...we need to make up the games somewhere.

TBone14Kluber will go tomorrow as scheduled. Salazar will be called up and will start Saturday. House will be pushed to Sunday.

Just got back from a hearing so I didn't see the news on twitter. Thanks for the heads up (for fantasy purposes)TBone14;1722099 wrote:Salazar will be called up and will start Saturday -
Gardens35TOP 3:
Sands .412
Santana .286
Murphy and Raburn .250
6 guys hitting at .200 or below
DANG -
TBone14It is early but Kluber has some special stuff tonight. 9 up and 9 down through 3.
Give him some runs, fellas. -
FootwedgeIndians team hitting approaching the Mendoza line at 220.
-
Laley23Ugh. Can't stand when guys swing first pitch in a big situation. Especially when he has walked like 4 (and bases loaded).
-
TBone14Kluber at 46 pitches through 4. 12 up 12 down. 6 Ks
-
Laley23Perez with fantastic baserunning to get the Tribes 1st run.
-
Laley23To not come away with another there is hugely dissapointing. But great throw to get Ramirez at the plate.

TBone14
Took a perfect throw and he made it. Pelfrey was horrible for the most part and we managed what, 3 hits and a run? He also spotted us 4 walks. Kipnis had a terrible at bat. Couldn't get a bunt down (I don't think he was sacrificing) and then a weak grounder.Laley23;1722394 wrote:To not come away with another there is hugely dissapointing. TBone14Kluber has thrown 56 pitches through 5 innings. 15 up 15 down. 7 Ks
-
MulvaLiterally the first pitch I watched tonight. I'll show myself out.

At least I can get another beer and take a leak now. It was going to be a long 3.5 innings.Mulva;1722397 wrote:Literally the first pitch I watched tonight. I'll show myself out. -
Dr. KnOiTaLLOur hitting coach should be fired.
-
TBone14It's not that we just don't score...we rarely even put pressure on the pitchers with baserunners.
I don't blame Tito for not running. You get a guy thrown out stealing you may never get another runner on base. -
Dr. KnOiTaLLRamirez is horrendous. Can we just see Lindor already?
-
TBone14Riveting game tonight between 2 teams who will be fighting for 4th in the division all season.
Another wasted Kluber start. -
BRFPffft....
-
FootwedgeYeah...where are all the laughing clowns now when I thought we should trade Kipnis for a solid reliever? Shaw was horrible in September, horrible in March and down right pitiful in April.
That throw by Moss that only little leaguers make cost them the game tonight. He's a left handed version of Mark Reynolds. -
Laley23Yet you pegged is to be loaded and win the division.

This team is hitting 220. So far, I'm very wrong on the team's ability to score runs. And your buddy Kipnis is one of the reasons why this team is so bad right now. Sure would like to have one of your "dime a dozen" relief pitchers for the 8th inning.Laley23;1722415 wrote:Yet you pegged is to be loaded and win the division.
