Reds vs Cardinals...Game 1
-
Ironman92Great start so far. (This entire post has been completely jinx-proofed)....Hamilton creating havoc with 2 SB per game and while on base is getting the next hitters fastballs to hit.
Votto's leg and mind are healthy and that is some good news.
Bruce looks to be stable....Byrd is an excellent defensive LF
Frazier on his way to being THE MAN.....beasting so far.
I feel we'll take 2 of 3 from the Cards -
Azubuike24Where was the game 3 thread?

Shit, I'm just glad I92 is alive. Thought he must be dead to miss a game thread.Azubuike24;1720446 wrote:Where was the game 3 thread? -

Yeah, normally they are started within minutes of the final out.Terry_Tate;1720450 wrote:Shit, I'm just glad I92 is alive. Thought he must be dead to miss a game thread. -

Not only a game thread. The first series of the year thread and going for a sweep. I already started preparing his OC eulogy. I will never get that 11 seconds back. Thanks a lot asshole.Terry_Tate;1720450 wrote:Shit, I'm just glad I92 is alive. Thought he must be dead to miss a game thread. -
Ironman92Past stuff hasn't worked...change is necessary
Reds are 3-0 -
Azubuike24Should Marquis hit 8th? Better than Cozart.
-
RotinajShoud I hit 8th? Better than Cozart.
-
Ironman92Good start...
-
RotinajVotto is having a really really ok season so far.
-
mhs95_06That's what we haven't seen in 21 months! A Votto smooth swing HR to LCF.
-
Ironman92The pressure BHam puts on a pitcher is immeasurable

How many steals you think he gets this season?Ironman92;1720697 wrote:The pressure BHam puts on a pitcher is immeasurable -
mhs95_06Lackey and Molina cooked up quite a scheme to get Billy to 2nd without them getting charged with a stolen base being given up.
-
mhs95_06Reds still ahead if you grade by runs scored per half inning!
-
mhs95_06C'mon Billy, a bunt was a way better idea than a fly to LF!
-
mhs95_06Votto now with a chance to equal his 3 HR game, like he had very early in his big league career(I'm thinking within his 1st five games in GABP) with a least 2 going to LF, if I remember correctly.
-
sherm03
According to C. Trent Rosecrans, he had 3 on May 13, 2012 against the Nationals.mhs95_06;1720707 wrote:Votto now with a chance to equal his 3 HR game, like he had very early in his big league career(I'm thinking within his 1st five games in GABP) with a least 2 going to LF, if I remember correctly.
Incidentally, that was his last multi-homer game. -

Before the season set his over/under at 57.5Rotinaj;1720699 wrote:How many steals you think he gets this season?
He'll be worn down a good bit by August as far as SB but with good health I could see him with 60-65 by mid August and finishing 75-80.
I don't think anyone has had 80 in a season since Vince Coleman (110? In 1987).....one of the last was Eric Davis with 80 in 1986?...in 127? games.
I'm going to go check my memory now -
Ironman92
Was there....Mother's Day (3+ hour delay)....left after the 9th inning from our CF seats and about 60 miles on our way home HEARD the 3rd HR....GW walkoff grand slamsherm03;1720708 wrote:According to C. Trent Rosecrans, he had 3 on May 13, 2012 against the Nationals.

1987 Coleman had 109
1986 Coleman 107, Henderson 87 and Davis 80 in only 132 games. -
Ironman92Odd by Phillips? Not sure what happened? Maybe read the swing too much? Have never seen him do that. Didn't hurt as no runs ended up scoring.
-
Ironman92Big beef with Votto on those plays.....that ball is made by 2nd baseman in high school....but overly aggressive Votto always goes for those and misses them FAR more often than any second baseman.
He cost the Reds a run -
sherm03Ya. I can't even be upset at Gregg for that run. That one is on Joey.
