Opening Series 2015....Tribe @ Astros
-
like_thatShould be game with the way the Tribe's lineup has shown up tonight.
-
IggyPride00Someone needs to hit the ball. It would be criminal to let Kluber take an L after pitching this well tonight.
-
iclfan2Such garbage. Raburn needs to be gone. I'd rather have a relief pitcher bat for him. So bad. And Moss is making a stellar debut. I'm not going to be down on them for this, but some of it is just plain shit. And don't get me wrong, I love the Moss signing and expect him to do great, but swinging at balls in the dirt ain't gonna get it done.
I still do hate Raburn tho. -
TBone14Raburn was terrible last year. I'm assuming he was terrible this spring. How does he make the roster? I'd rather have Murph vs a lefty than Raburn period.
-
BRFAt least Moss took one walk.
Tribe can't get to Sipp ....smh.
Raburn.....:geez. -

Guaranteed money. The Dolan's want something for their $2.5 million even if it hurts the team. How does he make the roster? -
TBone14Just one game. Can't overreact. But I hate saying that Kluber deserved better because it happened a lot last year. He was great and offense was a no show.
-
HitsRusReally some very poor AB's at critical times.
-
MulvaWell that stunk.

Things picked up right where they left off last year.HitsRus;1719424 wrote:Really some very poor AB's at critical times. -
HitsRusI would like to see Bourn use his legs more, especially against LHP that he has no chance hitting.

IggyPride00
I have "seen" about enough of Bourn to last me a lifetime at this point.HitsRus;1719428 wrote:I would like to see Bourn
I would like to see Tito start considering other options to hit leadoff. Bourn's OBP since he got here has been horrendous, and having him at the top of the line-up just seems to set a negative vibe for the night more often than not.
Lack of offensive consistency crippled this team last year (way too much boom/bust) and they need to find someone to hit lead-off who can get the offense going on a more consistent basis. -
Laley23Not very many good ABs, but that will happen when the opposing pitcher is throwing nothing but 1st pitch strikes (some with a help from the ump
-
HitsRuswell, you have to tip your hat to Keushcel.

BRFI will be remembering this game when September rolls around.

Dr. KnOiTaLLEmbarrassing start to the season. A quality performance by Kluber, but nothing to show for it but a big L. Our hitting seems to never improve from season to season...
-
Laley23I look for a nice bounceback the next 2 games.
Lefties are gonna be hell on us though. We basically gift them an inning to start the game with Bourn and Kip. Although, when Kipnis goes well, he hits lefties or righting. Still just dont like the start of our line-up. -
HitsRus^^^they are going to need to tweak that lineup a bit IMO.
-
TBone14Kipnis should hit back of the order until he proves his form isn't what we saw all last season.
Bourn
Ramirez
Brantley
Santana
Moss
Gomes
After that...some combo of Lonnie, Kip and whoever is in right field. But if that is Murph...you end up with 4 lefties 7-8-9-1. The lefty situation is unavoidable. Might as well give ourselves the best shot at the top. -
HitsRusIt's official! The Tribe has inked Carlos Carrasco to a deal that will keep him under club control thru 2020. The deal was for 4 years (this year included) with club options for the 2019 and 2020 seasons. Carrasco is 28 years old.
The deal is for $22million thru 2018 with the Tribe holding a $9 mil option for 2019 and a $9.5 mil option for 2020. Buyouts of those options are $660K. -
iclfan2Anyone read the article about Carrasco signing due to health issues and worry of tommy john?
Anyway, hopefully we get a w tonight
