And did you just say inbreds from northern Ohio? I'm sorry my friend but you definately have the wrong state if you want to find inbreds...PENN or WV is the place for that

You're right. I dont count em. Da browns are the worst team in the super bowl era. GOOD NIGHT ALL.

In no way am I condoning Capone's actions but that statement about the Browns having more championships than the Steelers is bullshit. I'll give you their 4 NFL Championships but trying to pass off 4 AAFC titles is ridiculous. That was an 8 team league that was NOT the same as the NFL. Those AAFC titles aren't NFL championships. So it's still 6-4, advantage Pittsburgh.
  • buckeyes_woowee
any way you look at it the Browns won those championships. Can't punish them for doing all they could do

Kudos to them but AAFC championships are not the equal of NFL championships. They're not recognized as the same.

Exactly. Even if you're just going by NFL Championships -- it's 6-4 in favor of the Steelers.

I think it's much harder to go through the playoffs so I don't look at them all the same but even if you did, the Steelers have more NFL Championships.

The Steelers now lead the all-time series.

They've won the only two playoff meetings.

Even since 2005, Pittsburgh has celebrated two Super Bowls. First No. 6 seed to win three road games and the Super Bowl. Then a dramatic fourth-quarter finish and game-winning touchdown. Cleveland fans could only sit and watch and envy.

The city of Pittsburgh overall has 11 major sports titles since the Browns last won in 1964. I know I keep bringing this up but it's not like it's just a matter of a few years, this is 46 years. The Steelers Dynasty of the 70s, the We are Family Pirates, the back-to-back Stanley Cups in the early 90s, another round of Super Bowls this decade. another Stanley Cup.

Cleveland choke. Choke. Choke. Choke. Choke.

Last time I looked, this thread was a Browns thread. WTF?? GTFO....

I was just following the momentum of the previous posts.

I'd rather talk about the current free agency moves and so forth and will moving forward.
  • Pick6
When the Browns were in the AAFC, they sent invitations out to play NFL teams. They were declined. Way back when the Rams were in Cleveland(when the browns were in the aafc) they also won an nfl championship.

In the mean time Walrus is at the all you can eat buffet counting his money. LOL.
Yuck it up. ESPN had an analyst from Pittsburgh on Mike & Mike this morning talking about Shitsburgh's "contigency plans" for drafting a new QB, cutting or trading Roethlisberger if/when the hammer comes down. At the very least he should get a suspension for blatant stupidity and embarrassment to the league.
  • Eric Taylor
Did you all see the story from Rotoworld that said the Browns are going into the draft with their focus on Joe Haden and Eric Berry?

I cant imagine Berry being there at 7, but if he is you have to take him in a heartbeat.

Absolutely, either Berry or Haden would be the best pick at this position (assuming they are available).
  • BR1986FB
Watson in today for a visit. If all goes well, look for them to push hard to get him in the fold. Expect a defensive lineman to visit in the not too distant future.

Settle into your seats, QB fans, this McNabb thing could lead all the way up to the draft.

And as far as the "nobody wants to come play for Cleveland" comments from the asshole gallery...the Browns haven't signed a bunch of free agents because a) the pickings are slim this year (see Randle El, Arnaz Battle signings) and b) they really haven't been enamored with what's out there and the price some of these other teams are paying. They have been working the phones via trade route.
  • Eric Taylor
Haden will still be there, the question will be if Berry is.
  • BR1986FB
Everyone seems to be scared of Haden's 40 time. I expect redemption at his Pro Day.

Surprisingly, I've seen two recent mocks with Berry falling to 10 & 13, respectively.
  • Eric Taylor
I would be stunned if the Browns passed on Berry if he is sitting there at #7.

But I have been surprised with some of their picks in the last 3 years, so it wouldnt be a big shock, but I will be stunned.
  • Nate
If Berry and Haden are available at 7, you absolutely take Berry. NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!
  • Writerbuckeye
You guys have to stop letting the inbreds take over this thread.

    Ignore them.

As for anyone running away from taking Haden because of that 40 time -- I have never bought into the hype regarding times, lifting or any similar stuff that goes on that gets folks all excited (or deflated).

I saw enough of Haden to know he's a damn good FOOTBALL PLAYER and if Berry isn't there, he looks like one of the best bets to fill an area of great need for this team.

Exactly. People get enamored with 40's & bench presses and forget to watch the film. He played in arguably the best conference in college football and had to face elite talent. He'll be fine.
  • pkebker
I think I would be more interested in Haden's shuttle time. A CB needs to be able to react quickly and change directions. How was Haden's shuttle time?
  • royal_k
Exactly what I said after his 40 at the combine. I don't care what his time was. He is a football player, period.
  • BCBulldog
Don't worry. He'll run fine at his pro day. Not like it matters, he ran a 4.57 and a 4.60, not a 4.8. His technique is good, his instincts are good, his film is good, he will be fine.
  • royal_k
People for forget he wasn't even a corner when he came to Florida. He's new to the position and look what he's done.
