2015 NFL Regular Season Chatter

Ok....the only difference I see is one was during the play and 1 was several seconds after.

I have no problem with Mitchell being out as long as Eifort and his salary withheld those weeks.

I think Wallace's and Beckhams were worse.

Using your theory should Wallace only be fined $23,152?....I think it should be about $200,000 more than that.

Also, why was it that odd number? Mitchell makes more than that per game I assume?

I think the number was a percentage of the salary.

Odell's hit was after the play but it was a first offense for him. Mitchell had a history. Also Mitchell was making threats before the game.

Odell had 2 other personal fouls, swung and missed and then came back to drill him. To me Mitchell would've dove and whiffed on Eifert, got up and then went back and did that it would be the same.

I do have no issue with any history adding to the punishment.

We both agree Mitchell should've gotten more....but I think Beckham and Wallace should get more than Mitchell.

The $23152 number is weird but Burfict was fined for 3 plays in that game and his total was $69456 so 3x.....maybe $23,152 per personal foul fine.....I don't know but IMO it's not nearly enough for anyone. It needs eliminated across the league.

Saints receiver just got destroyed right in the helmet.

The whole "suspend the guy until the player he hurts is back" opens up a slippery slope that nobody would want.

What happens if you horse collar a guy and he shreds his knee? He never recovers. Should the guy who got the penalty also never play again? What's the difference between an illegal horse collar and a head shot? Both penalties, both on purpose, why discriminate?

The stuff in the Pittsburgh/Cincinnati and New York/Carolina games specifically were over the top. Both games had multiple altercations, fights and personal fouls. However, there's no fair way to police that stuff for the resulting injuries that happen. This is fucking football...guys get hit...guys get emotional and do things in the heat of the moment.

Up to 4 games or something...there are ways

Any word on the steelers player? He def should be getting a suspension right along with OBJ.

He has a history of being an asshole too so I expect he gets more, but probably won't. I honestly can't believe the player came back into the game shortly thereafter. It was so violent.

They are going to win the North, but that puts them at the 3-seed, and the likely 6-seed is Pittsburgh. That would set up a rematch with Pittsburgh, and Andy Dalton trying to come back after just 3 weeks in the playoffs.
I'm almost positive Cincinnati will end up with a home playoff game vs Pittsburgh where they'll lose some snoozer of a game like 17-6. The kind where neither team looks great but the Bengals offense is just so miserable you keep hoping they finally get something going, but never do.

Not sure Pittsburgh's offense is capable of putting just 17 points up.

If it's Pittsburgh @ Cinci...that's not good for Bengals fans

It'd just be one of those things where Pittsburgh has an off day and if Cincinnati played well at all, they'd win. But they don't.

Steelers only had 3 make Pro Bowl and no one on defense (not surprisingly but Heyward has had a very good season)

Figured only AB and Ben would make it. Nice to have a lineman make it after so many shitty years of only having a good center. DeCastro has been a pleasant surprise.

AFC QB position is currently quite weak

Eifert likely out for the season. Definitely out Monday.

Really? Don't remember where (probably one of the fails at ESPN) said he could probably play this week if it were a playoff game.

Hopefully he'll be at 100% by playoffs. They need him to win in the playoffs, may not help either of these 2 final weeks.

Offensive line needs to put a bounty out on Bitchell.

Holding call on a FG attempt on Khalil Mack? Weak IMO...next play TD

    Yuck

5 yard penalties should never, ever result in a first down; unless, of course, it's 5 or less to gain.
  • Ironman92
What a clusterfuck of penalties made FG, take back, score TD, review no TD, penalty miss FG

Glad this game doesn't affect playoffs

Agree 100%....what Mack did earned a 4th and 18 conversion? Uh no

Not sure I've seen an all-star professional athlete act on the field like Philip Rivers
  • Ironman92
Fan ran onto the field and was yelling something at Charles Woodson and Woodson put his hands together and did an "O" sign I think???
  • Ironman92
This game is a big clusterfuck
  • Ironman92
Wow....a big play without a penalty
  • Ironman92
Should be taunting on Te'o....I've seen that called multiple times this season. 24 penalties called but not that one.
