Nah, this was nothing more than just going through the niceties after you have moved on sorta like speaking well of someone after they died even though they were a SOBFootwedge;1705209 wrote:Nice to see Shanahan talk about Manziel having a strong work ethic. He could have easily have piled on...but he didn't. Then today Haslam said it was way to early to give up on Manziel, much to the chagrin of the know it all Cleveland media. The guy had one great quarter and 6 bad ones and now he media wants him shit canned. OIF'nC. -
FootwedgeLOL at the callers on the fan the past 2 days. Yesterday, a guy cited Bradshaw's putrid stats his first 2 years...then proclaiming the Browns fans idiots for giving up on Manziel. Guy was spot on and Jeff Phelps was left speechless. Then today a guy went ape shit over all the Brian Hoyer apologists.. citing that Hoyer was beyond horrible...which he was. Nice to see the silent majority speak up and speak the truth.
SMH at those that think signing Hoyer would have been a better deal than McCown. There is no comparison between the 2. McCown is so much better than Hoyer it's not even funny -

Didnt McCown go 1-10 last year? Hoyer won games without having a decent WR. Good try thoughFootwedge;1718148 wrote:LOL at the callers on the fan the past 2 days. Look up McCown's numbers in 2013...and then get back to me. Good riddance to Hoyer....a complete and total clusterfuck under center.thavoice;1718229 wrote:Didnt McCown go 1-10 last year? Hoyer won games without having a decent WR. Good try though -

You mean two seasons ago? Yeah, I thought so.Footwedge;1718502 wrote:Look up McCown's numbers in 2013...and then get back to me. Good riddance to Hoyer....a complete and total clusterfuck under center. -

I guess 2 seasons ago doesn't count. If you are feeling jilted that your boy is now in Houston. then get the NFL package...you can watch his sorry ass ride the bench behind super stud Ryan Mallet. Only in America can you rank dead last in your profession and be silver plattered 6 million dollars.thavoice;1718509 wrote:You mean two seasons ago? Yeah, I thought so. -

Josh Freeman was good. Then sucked in 2013 and was out of the league last year.Footwedge;1718529 wrote:I guess 2 seasons ago doesn't count. FootwedgeThe animal house knuckleheads want to trade both 1's and next year's 1 for Mariota. Now I think Mariota is going to be really good, but this team has a whole pile of needs other than quarterback. And Bull. what ever happened to your claim that you can't judge a rookie quarterback after a few games? Idiot.
Nobody knows what Manziel can do after he puts down the crack pipe. He was better than Mariota in college...and Mariota was damn good.
One caller said they should draft a left tackle at 11 and a right guard at 18 or wherever it is. I kind of like that idea. Joe Thomas is over rated and should move to right tackle. -
FootwedgeLike the second pick a lot more than the first. Hopefully the guy can play as well as Bitonio and Mack. As for Shelton, his numbers sucked. 3 sacks and only 59 tackles as a junior on a shitty defense. Hardly an impact player and will probably remind people of Mingo with his obscurity.
-
Lovejoy1984Nose tackles usually don't records sacks.....I thought your JV sports acumen would've taught you that.

IggyPride00Shelton is a 2 down player and he's gassed. On a shitty defense that is on the field all game because the offense blows he doesn't help much.
We're going no where until the offense can actually keep our defense off the field, and with Ray Farmer not believing in scoring it means we are well on our way to another shitty run rating with this D.
Shelton does nothing to help solve that problem. -

Maybe they don't record that many sacks...but 59 tackles? that's less than 5 a game. How did Suh do in college? Dude, I lettered in baseball and hoops...at a quad A school. Also lettered one year in tennis. Could have played baseball in college but opted against it.HighRoller74;1725843 wrote:Nose tackles usually don't records sacks.....I thought your JV sports acumen would've taught you that.
I like the Irving pick. This team needs to draft another o line man. It was a pathetic disgrace how bad the unit was after Mack went down. Manziel had absolutely no chance to succeed with that sorry bunch. -
FootwedgePretty amazing that the national champs sent only one guy to the pros in the first 3 rounds. I understand the Buckeyes are young, and didn't have that many graduate, but that has to be record. Alabama would send 5-7 players every year by the second round.

BR1986FBToo bad someone's not all that aware of a NT's job in a 3-4 defense. Their job is to eat space, occupy two offensive linemen and let the ILB's shoot the gaps and make tackles. Sacks & tackles for a NT are just a bonus, not expected. If you look at stats for some of the best NT's in the league (in a 3-4 defense) you're going to be very hard pressed to find many with 40+ tackles in a season if they are doing their job correctly.
