Laley23Anyway, along with Kenny Mayne and Rich Eisen, he really got me interested in my current profession...sports media.
-
Terry_TateStuart Scott was awesome on Sportscenter. I know many on here are around the same age, but growing up in the mid to late 90s he was a staple of every day life because I'd have Sportscenter on every morning getting ready for school. Couldn't tell you how many times I've said "as cool as the other side of the pillow."

Ironman92Hard watching the NFL Countdown....everyone having trouble talking

It's really hard to watch. Hannah Storm is doing an unbelievably great job through this. You can tell how hard it is hitting her and all of the other anchors.Fab1b;1692639 wrote:I had to turn off ESPN way to sad -

Really really hard to watch. But for whatever reason, I feel absolutely compelled to keep watching. Stuart was the first live-TV icon I learned to appreciate.wildcats20;1692640 wrote:It's really hard to watch. Hannah Storm is doing an unbelievably great job through this. friendfromlowryI knew he had cancer, but didn't realize he was struggling so much with it. I use to follow him on Twitter and he was always posting pictures of himself doing MMA workouts, playing golf, etc.

Just listening to everyone's tribute is why I want to keep watching. Judging by his ESPY speech, he would have wanted everyone to celebrate his life instead of being somber.wildcats20;1692642 wrote:Same here.

Rich Eisen had a great tribute on NFL network after finding out -

All while going through chemo and experimental treatments. Such an inspiration.friendfromlowry;1692645 wrote:I knew he had cancer, but didn't realize he was struggling so much with it. GOONx19I've been working in the cancer center for the last month and we lose a patient every few days, but I've never seen any of them outside of the hospital so I don't ever see them healthy. With people like him who you've seen healthy, it's a little bit harder because you see how far they deteriorate. Cancer sucks. He had young kids and was far too young to go.

I'm surprised too. I stopped Watching BSPN the day of the decision. Outside of the draft, or a random NBA/NFL game I haven't watched it since. Was it known that summer (publicized) that he was fighting cancer? Could have forgotten.Laley23;1692622 wrote:I know you dont watch ESPN, but this surprises me. SportsAndLadySad. Stu was the man
