Steelers @ Falcons

  • Ironman92
Back to back weeks of facing a 1st place team on the road.

I don't care how or how much....just find a way, any way to beat the worst division leader in football history.

If the Steelers win I think they'll make the playoffs. If they lose I think they'll get inched out around 7:30 on the final Sunday of the season just like last year.

Julio Jones is out and so is their safety Moore?

Two phenomenal happenings to give the Steelers a better chance but until I see the scoreboard nicely in the Steelers favor late in the game....I'm not falling for it.

James Harrison and Ike Taylor are out. Harrison had the one game where he looked like 2006 James Harrison but his replacement should do just as well.

Not having to watch Ike Taylor is a blessing even if his replacement sucks. I simply cannot watch Ike Taylor without being like Iggy/FW

Basically a must-win game. Best not be laying any eggs like they have virtually every time they're easily the better team on paper.

    FG not touchdowns....ugh

Steelers coming on at right time.

Possibly.....still very early in this game

Still a ton of issues as well but they are looking very good at times and that is promising for sure.

Cannot afford to lose Ben, Bell, Brown or Pouncey

Fuck that rule.....I don't know where the hell you are supposed to hit the QB.
  • Ironman92
    I can't watch this fucking team...I can't.
  • Ironman92
Brown and Roethlisberger connect on some of the most difficult plays
  • Ironman92
Just refuse to put anyone away unless it's very late sometimes

Defense on the field the entire 3rd quarter and Haley being stubborn.
  • Heretic
Last touchdown was a necessity. Brings it back to 14 at the beginning of the final quarter. Need a stop now and then any kind of points to (hopefully) put this one away.
  • Heretic
    THAT WASN'T A STOP!!!
  • Ironman92
Just a terrible defense....pressure on oline, Ben, Brown and Bell once again
  • Ironman92
Here they come. Haley just won't keep doing the quick hitters....gotta run for -2
  • Ironman92
Need 1 yard for the win

Got the win, too bad it looks like Baltimore will get past Jacksonville, so nothing changing in the division race.

I want things to fall so a win next week at home vs the Chiefs and they clinch a playoff spot.

Texans still alive mathematically so they'll be tough on Baltimore next week

Denver, New England and Indianapolis will win their divisions. It all depends now on the North and the wild card.

Cincinnati (9-4-1) - vs DEN, at PIT
Baltimore (9-5) - at HOU, vs CLE
Pittsburgh (9-5) - vs PIT, vs CIN
Kansas City (8-6) - at PIT, vs SD
San Diego (8-5) - vs DEN, at SF, at KC
Buffalo (8-6) - at OAK, at NE

There's a very good chance at 9-6-1, the Bengals will get the 6th seed. Both KC and SD can't both win 10, unless SD beats Denver today. Buffalo is an unlikely candidate to win 10 as they play at New England, and obviously Pittsburgh also plays KC which would impact the North too.

Had to work and didnt see the game, but man I think Iw oulda had a coronary on that penalty by Worilds. BS! All you can ask for this time of year is to control your future and the steelers have that, and it really can come in handy in the playoffs against some teams who may have throttled down late in the season with having it wrapped up.

Tomlin gave the best answer ever when the reporter asked him about it.
