No pretty sure he definitely meant Charles Woodson...1997 Heisman Trophy Winner and 2009 DPOY in the NFL.

I'll take Deion over Charles just barely. But I'd take both of them over Rod Woodson.

I'd go with Rod (PROTIP: Also a DPOY), simply due to being better than either.

I would take Charles over Deon, and Rod over both.

Sorry, Rod is over Charles. Better at coverage and the best tackling DB ever....for that I'd take him over Deion as well because Rod also took away 1/2 the field.

Yep, but he was still head & shoulders ahead of the other two.

I dont know about that. He was a little better at coverage but I think the all around game tips in Rod's favor. Some forget he was a world class sprinter so he had the speed along with the physicality.

Cannot go wrong either either though.

Umm, no...not a "little better" in coverage. A "mile" better.

Woodson was easily more physical and much stronger in run support but, to me, when I think "corner", I'm thinking "the guy who will shut you down, week in, week out." That was Deion. Best cover corner I've ever seen which tilts the scale for me.

Woodson was an exceptional talent but Deion was one of a kind. I will admit he was a p#ssy when it came to tackling.

I will give you that. I am, obviously, biased as Rod is my all time favorite player. Used to see his highlights in HS @ Snider and then Purdue.

Was bummed when he left the steelers. He was given a good offer as he was coming off of knee surgery. Just wish he coulda won a SB with the steelers. He tore his ACL in week one,and cowher kept him onthe roster all season and he got to play some in the SB that year.

    but I digress

Of course. Steeler fans are going to go with Woodson just like Browns fans would go with Jim Brown as the GOAT RB (even though he was a piece of shit human being). Completely understand the bias.

Well, in honesty, from when they both were playing, I don't recall there being that much definitive "one is better than the other" talk, with it mainly being more of a "depending on your team/style, this guy is better" kind of conversation.

Deion was the better pure cover CB who could lock down a receiver and/or half of the field. But a horrible tackler.

    R. Woodson was the better physical gambling sort of player where he could occasionally get horribly burned due to that style. But also made great plays with it and was a very good hitter.

Both were kickass return guys, too, and essentially both were threats to score on defense or ST every game. At the least, you can tell who the young guys on the site are (ie: the "Charles Woodson is better than either of those two" people). Because back then, those two were essentially human highlight reels on defense, regardless of their flaws.

Charles Woodson is good but I can't seriously add him to the conversation with those two.

And BTW, when I saw the title of this thread, I thought it was going to be a "douchebag" poll.

So did I. I was prepared to vote for like_that.

Seriously, I thought it was going to be about the biggest douchers in sports, not defensive backs.

On this site, that conversation will go on for hours and hours with the consensus being that everyone in sports is the biggest doucher.

The "a mile better in coverage" is just not reasonable. Deion is the best cover guy ever...Woodson is way up near the top in coverage and is the best tackling corner ever.

I fucking loved Deion, he's one of those freak athletes that can do stuff no one else can do and just a thrill to watch (only behind Bo in my book)....but he and Woodson are #1 and #2 CB of all-time and it is close. Woodson was 1 of only 5 active players on the 75th anniversary all-time team.

Deion had the style....but this is a Willie Mays vs Hank Aaron debate as I see it.
