The best line in this is..."Brian Hoyer....pahleese"
    I don't know what I just watched.

Next weeks game against buffalo will be the tell tale of this team. Come up with a win and we are sitting very nice for a possible playoff spot

Hoping the game is in DC lol.

Brown will probably lose. They can't beat teams with a good front 7, and Buffalo's front 7 is fucking tough. Buffalo will have a short week to prepare though.

When he starts to even do that, I think its time to think about sitting him. I now feel the same way about Hoyer that I did about DA. Never comfortable with him behind center, even though we're winning. Don't want a bungals game repeat like in 07.
Agreed. I was laughing when the announcers were giving Gordon shit for not "helping Hoyer out" on that pick he threw in the back of the end zone. From what I can see, that pass wasn't intended for Gordon. Looked to me like Hoyer was trying to throw the ball out of the back of the end zone and his arm couldn't get it there.

If the game is in DC, you probably lucked out. Heard the Bills/Jets game in Detroit was free.

Agree on the loss comment. They don't do well against physical defenses (see Houston). The only saving grace is will Orton "out Hoyer" Hoyer?

He had two options: give Gordon a catchable jump ball or throw an uncatchable ball away.

He could have chosen either option; instead he failed miserably doing neither. On 1st down and goal. So gd damn infuriating.

Haha im hoping too. I already made plans to go if it is in dc. Only about a 2 hour drive for me. Well worth it especially if tickets are free

That ball should have been in the stands. Actually, that play should have been a run for our fucking RB who was averaging SEVEN yards a carry.

Anyone that wants Hoyer benched for an unproven rookie, who has been publicly deemed not ready by the coaching staff, is just insane.

Just watched the highlights, and just seeing the int almost pisses me off as much as it did when it happened live.

Also watching the highlights, that play by miles austin before the winning FG was a vet heads up move. Great fucking play and awareness.
  • slingshot4ever
Speaking of Austin, does anyone know where I can get an Austin NIke Browns jersey?
  • Rotinaj
A Broncos win here would be nice.
  • slingshot4ever
I'm praying they re-locate the Bills game to Detroit. Wouldn't be a problem as Lions play on Thursday, plus only an hour drive for my from Toledo.

Honestly, the browns would be better off missing the playoffs, so we could have a higher draft spot

Yep....two more strides and if tackle is a struggle at all, probably run out of time

We all really want to hear what you feel about the bills game, please, keep going!

I think he was trying to get it there but his arm wasn't strong enough. I haven't seen the replay but I think he was backpedaling when he threw it. As soon as he let it go I was thinking "ok, he threw it away....live to fight another down" and then I saw it wasn't traveling as far as I thought it would and it turned to "oh shit, Hoyer."

I agree. For me, this whole Hoyer thing is uncomfortable because I was in the "they're winning, can't pull the veteran incumbent (which you aren't implying, so I'm not putting words in your mouth)" camp but Hoyer is so damn bad these past few weeks and we see what this offense could be doing if he'd just hit some wide open receivers in the red zone. I don't like being in the "sit Hoyer" minority but he's just so damn bad right now.

That's like saying anyone who wants John St. Clair benched after a 7-4 start....

I don't want him benched, I want him to play better. He's played like SHIT the past few weeks. Actually can't point to any week where he played amazing, only not like total shit. Not advocating for Manziel, I'm advocating for non terrible play out of the QB position. Better play calling, better accuracy while on the run, better play from Hoyer, etc... is fine by me.

Well said. I don't care who is back there as long as they play well. Hoyer is NOT. They are winning in spite of him. If he could consistently hit the broad side of a barn, these games would be laughers. If his play improves (since I don't see them benching him) great, but I think he is what he is, a mediocre journeyman who isn't an NFL starter (for long).

Yes, they won and I'm grateful but they won't get away with this shit going down the stretch against this upcoming schedule.

And I said something like this several weeks ago.

I'm happy that he's a home town hero and has the team at 7-4.

BUT............he is not the answer to getting us over the hump and to the playoffs, IMHO.
  • SportsAndLady
Yeah I think it's safe to say we all wish our qb play was better. Lol

Hoyer isn't great, and he's not going to be our QB after this season. But he just won this game for us on a game winning drive. Yes he played like balls up to it and yes we were in the position of needing a GW drive because of him. But he did what he needed to do and won the game. And that isn't the first time or the last time hel'l do it for us this season.
