1. Trout

Was probably a top 3 candidate around a month ago... -
Ironman92
Replace him with Cruz if you want. Orioles have a bunch of very goods. Cruz with the much HR, RBI, OPS, Jones adds defense....Nick MarkakisCrimson streak;1649508 wrote:You could make an argument for Adam jones as well to be on that list
I have Jones at #12 (Ortiz) -

Probably Cruz, as I would have Jones as the top Oriole. I just like him more as an overall player. IIronman92;1649515 wrote:Who would you leave out?
have not looked at advanced statistics in like 2 months though lol. -
Ironman92
I also give a little value to being better than last year and Cruz want there and is leading the league in RBI, but also not that much better.Laley23;1649510 wrote:He would be in my top 10.

Usually not part of the criteria....but he did an excellent job for sure.Commander of Awesome;1649638 wrote:Justin Verlander, for bringing teh lulz this morning. -
Ironman92Altuve might sneak into the top 6 soon. Just stole his 50th base, has 38 doubles and 21 more hits than the next closest guy in baseball. At 5'5 he's something else

Defense and base running put Trout clearly above VMartFootwedge;1658447 wrote:Vmart should edge out Trout. -

I agree. But it probably goes troutFootwedge;1658447 wrote:Vmart should edge out Trout. -
Ironman92Do you guys not value anything but hitting? VMart edges in hitting but VMart is one of the worst base runners and Trout is near the top. VMart plays 1st base and DH and a Trout is a very good OF

Classyposter58Trout easy. Should go Trout-Martinez-Cruz-Brantley-Altuve
-
HitsRusDefinitely Trout....and Brantley over V-Mart for the very reasons you mention in post#21. I'll put Altuve in the #2 slot.

Then how is Cruz below them? Honestly you cannot tell me Brantley had a better season than CruzHitsRus;1658465 wrote:Definitely Trout....and Brantley over V-Mart for the very reasons you mention in post#21. I'll put Altuve in the #2 slot.
Trout
Altuve
Brantley

HitsRus^^^Seriously?
Brantley hit 50 points higher, had a higher OPS, 65 less K's, stole 19 more bases, only 11 less RBI's....just a better all around player.
now if you want to argue Abreu....
Pujols...I find it a bit strange he's not mentioned by anyone in the top 10.
