You could make an argument for Adam jones as well to be on that list
  • Laley23
    Trout for sure is #1.

    1. Trout
    2. Abreu
    3. Brantley (climbing as the Tribe climbs...could easily be passed if they fall)
    4. Victor
    5. Cano

He would be in my top 10.

Was probably a top 3 candidate around a month ago...

Replace him with Cruz if you want. Orioles have a bunch of very goods. Cruz with the much HR, RBI, OPS, Jones adds defense....Nick Markakis

I have Jones at #12 (Ortiz)

    Who would you leave out?

Probably Cruz, as I would have Jones as the top Oriole. I just like him more as an overall player. I

have not looked at advanced statistics in like 2 months though lol.

I also give a little value to being better than last year and Cruz want there and is leading the league in RBI, but also not that much better.

I think Showalter is a hell of a manager

Truth, and since he's retiring can also treat it as basically a career award.

Justin Verlander, for bringing teh lulz this morning.

Usually not part of the criteria....but he did an excellent job for sure.

Altuve might sneak into the top 6 soon. Just stole his 50th base, has 38 doubles and 21 more hits than the next closest guy in baseball. At 5'5 he's something else
  • Ironman92
Nelson Cruz 2 HR, triple and all 7 of Baltimore RBI today
  • Ironman92
Here comes Miguel Cabrera....5 HR in the past 6 games
  • Ironman92
    My final vote...

    1. Trout
    2. VMart
    3. Brantley
    4. Abreu
    5. Donaldson
    6. Altuve
    7. Cabrera
    8. Cano
    9. Gordon
    10. Cruz
    10. Bautista
    10. Beltre

Got the top 4 exactly....haven't seen any more detailed results.

    Vmart should edge out Trout.

Defense and base running put Trout clearly above VMart

I agree. But it probably goes trout
  • Ironman92
Do you guys not value anything but hitting? VMart edges in hitting but VMart is one of the worst base runners and Trout is near the top. VMart plays 1st base and DH and a Trout is a very good OF

    Trout easy. Should go Trout-Martinez-Cruz-Brantley-Altuve
  • HitsRus
Definitely Trout....and Brantley over V-Mart for the very reasons you mention in post#21. I'll put Altuve in the #2 slot.

    Trout
    Altuve
    Brantley
    Abreu
    Cruz
    Gordon

    Trout
    Altuve
    Brantley
    Abreu
    Cruz
    Gordon
Then how is Cruz below them? Honestly you cannot tell me Brantley had a better season than Cruz
  • HitsRus
    ^^^Seriously?

Brantley hit 50 points higher, had a higher OPS, 65 less K's, stole 19 more bases, only 11 less RBI's....just a better all around player.

now if you want to argue Abreu....

Pujols...I find it a bit strange he's not mentioned by anyone in the top 10.
