It was my first MLB game and I think I was 6-7 years old. The Giants beat the Reds 1-0 in 22 innings. Mel Queen threw nine shutout innings for the Reds and Gaylord Perry threw 12 shutout innings for the Giants.

In 1990 or 91 at Fenway Park I saw the Red Sox beat the Twins 1-0 and the Red Sox hit into two triple plays, the only time it has ever happened in MLB. They were almost identical plays (5-4-3) and easy calls to make. The only difference in the plays were the bases were loaded on the first one and runners at first and second on the second one.

Fun facts about my pro stadium career.

My first Pirate game in Three Rivers, Bonds hit a grand slam.

My first Pens game at the Igloo, Lemieux had a had trick against Philly.

I regret not going to more Euro soccer games when I had the chance. I never wanted to pony up the cash for the big teams.

I attended some Cavs games their first year at the old Cleveland Arena.

    Oddities I've seen

Corky Miller 2 doubles in a game

Barry Larkin's last 4 hit game

    Saw McGwire's 60th HR in 1999

Missed McGwire's record 62nd by 1 game but in that game saw J.D. Drew 's first career hit and I believe Pete Rose Jr first career hit (only had 2)

Saw Votto's 3 HR game including walk off grand slam

Saw Chapman end a game on a 103 mph pitch for fastest pitch ever to end a game

Saw a fan heckle Griffey Jr all game long rooting on Sosa's 600th HR....top of 8th inning Jr came out and asked me a question and then gave heckling fan a Sammy Sosa signed ball.

Ha! You got lost? Had to be scary at the time!

Oddity moment of games I went to..........The time Pete Rose got tossed for bumping an umpire, Palone, and the game got suspended due to everything throwing trash on the field. I remember people throwing baseballs and everything onto the field!

Been to 4 AFC Championship games in pittsburgh...2-2 in those games. NOthing more exciting after those wins.....nor nothing as somber as the two losses.

The only oddity that I can remember off the top of my head was I saw Drew Stubbs only grand slam of his career in April 2010.
