Chicago at Cincinnati on July 8th
-
Azubuike24Need wins.
-
mhs95_06Is this for both games, if they get them in on July 8th?
-
Azubuike24Nope, I was planning on starting another thread if they win game one. It's an interesting question though. I was kind of hamstrung with the way the titles are formatted.

RotinajBilly Hamilton is now my favorite Red. After a very slow start he is putting together a pretty damn good rookie season. Also, we used up all of our runs yesterday. Reds lose the rest of the games in the series 1-0.
-
thavoiceHamilton wont have the OBP that Choo did last season but he will most likely surpass him with avg and RBIs along with SB of course.
All while playing a very good CF.
Arroyo is looking at Tommy John surgery, and Mesoraco is having a much better season than Hanigan. Looked like the front office let the right guys go this offseason.
Could be a tortuous two games today in Cincy with the rain. -
wildcats20Votto to the DL. Pena is back from paternity leave.
-
thavoiceFigured that was coming. JV wont be right all season. Only listened last night..how Bruce look? Heard he madea good scoopto save Leake.
-
wildcats20Bruce was fine. He made an error on a ball he should have made the play on.
Pena is back, so Bruce can go back go RF.
Also, Tucker Barnhart is back with the team. Which tells me Pena will be strictly the 1B til Joey gets back(if at all). -
Terry_TateHamilton is a stud. I thought he would do alright this year even with his early struggles but holy cow he's been awesome. Don't want to miss any of his at-bats when watching a game, he's electric.

I think Barnhart came up when Pena left for maternity leave. But if he's still there now that Pena is back, yeah, Pena is the first baseman by default for however long.wildcats20;1633798 wrote:Bruce was fine. He made an error on a ball he should have made the play on.

After watching the last series you guys played the Pirates, I can safely say he's the reason you guys won it. Seemed like he got on base just about every time he was at the plate and then stole bases like crazy and scored regularly. For me, it got a bit old knowing that every time he was at bat, odds were that he'd be scoring a run, lol.Terry_Tate;1633806 wrote:Hamilton is a stud. That would be correct, I guess I missed that call up lolHeretic;1633823 wrote:I think Barnhart came up when Pena left for maternity leave. But if he's still there now that Pena is back, yeah, Pena is the first baseman by default for however long. -
thavoiceI wonder if there is a stat up there that shows a possible uptick in BA for the hitter when Hamilton is on first base with the pitcher being distracted and/or the hitter getting more FB's to hit.

Well, Frazier did go from a guy who was one of the weaker links in the line-up last year (or, more accurately, a guy who could bat .350 one month and then .200 for the next) to a guy who's been probably your best guy (or Mes, but Frazier's been there all year without DL time) and most of this year, he's been right behind Hamilton, so there might be merit to that.thavoice;1633831 wrote:I wonder if there is a stat up there that shows a possible uptick in BA for the hitter when Hamilton is on first base with the pitcher being distracted and/or the hitter getting more FB's to hit. -

Frasier hasnt been hitting behind him that long I dont think, and I am not sure DM has hit behind him at all this season.Heretic;1633832 wrote:Well, Frazier did go from a guy who was one of the weaker links in the line-up last year (or, more accurately, a guy who could bat .350 one month and then .200 for the next) to a guy who's been probably your best guy (or Mes, but Frazier's been there all year without DL time) and most of this year, he's been right behind Hamilton, so there might be merit to that.
As a pitcher you almost have to just say fuck it to hamilton as he is gonna get his steals and focus on the hitter. -
mhs95_06I see Hannahan was sent out on rehab today. I'll bet when he finishes that he'll go on the roster in place of Tucker B.
Did anyone hear anything on what came out of the extensive tests they were doing on Joey the last couple of days. -
wildcats20Same injury, just got worse.
Aka he was never healthy and shouldn't have been activated. -
wildcats20Bunt single for Billy. Steals second, BP brings him home.
Bruce crushes one.
3-0. -

This team needs bruce to get hot.wildcats20;1633849 wrote:Bunt single for Billy. Steals second, BP brings him home.

I'd say he is hot! 2 run HRs in two consecutive innings vs. lefty pitchers. Keys for Bruce's long success are to extend the hot streaks and minimize the cold ones.thavoice;1633854 wrote:This team needs bruce to get hot. -
mhs95_06Twice in less than half a game that Frazier has failed to get the runner in from 3rd with less than 2 out.

Lol he's with Dayton today. There really is no place for him on the big league club.Terry_Tate;1633862 wrote:Fuck Jack Hannahan. -
Ironman92Good team win. Cueto gets his 9th, Bruce bomb, Heisey 3 hits and an SB, BHam 2 hits and a SB
