thavoiceWell fuckers, gotta put my 5-1 record on the line on this game tonite and not feeling too confident. First game on the west coast, especially against a good team, usually ends up in a loss. The reds will be jet lagged, and go to Candlestick instead and are late to the game and lose big time.
So after tonite I will be 5-2. May not have access to start a thread tomorrow but if I do it will be first thing in the AM, but doesnt matter,...reds go down big. -

It's not a pick and choose. We could all take Cueto vs the Padres and a 6.24 era pitcher. -
Ironman92Looks like I'm 14-10 including a 4 game and 2 other 3 game winning streaks

Thing is...I dont pick and choose. I have no idea what the matchup is when I start them! I only start 'em when I see no one else does or after a win when I am forced to!Ironman92;1630402 wrote:This.

When I dont start after a win is when I dont have access to the net. I typically am not on the web from Fri-Sun. -

Would you rather have the mispellings and shit and a 5-1 record or everything correctly and a shitty record? Had to keep that shitty spelling for goodluck ya know. -

Azubuike24Tony Cingrani to the DL in Louisville. Left shoulder soreness. Not good. He's a huge key to the future of this pitching staff remaining elite.

mhs95_06I wonder why the LF was so far off the line that Bruce could score on that corner shot by Cozart to give the Reds the 1-0 lead. Looks like Leake is really disappointed in his own hitting this year. Went down easily with a 2 out RISP opportunity. Bruce with a great job motoring around for the lead!
-
mhs95_06Leake in a good groove now. 31 pitches in the first 2 innings, then 33 for the next 3. And in the 6th the Reds have Billy and Frazier on with no out -- chance to build a good working margin!
-

Then an unproductive out by Joey and he was bailed out by Billy swiping 3rd, then Meso fails with Billy on 3rd and one out, and Billy's effort to try to bail him out by making a 140' pop up a SF is foiled for the 3rd out. -
mhs95_06Great job by Leake pitching around the 2 out triple by Pence. A good job by Bruce to rundown the ball in the deepest part of the park to hold him to a triple. Then Leake pitches around Posey and K's Sandoval on a full count pitch after having him 0-2!
-
mhs95_06And a sore BP adds a run to the Reds lead by parking to LCF the first pitch from Machi, who had a 25 inning scoreless streak going since giving up his only run of the season in mid April. And another run on a Bruce book rule double(bouncing into the foul RF seats) and a single by Ludwick.
-
mhs95_06And after the error on Cozart's grounder sets up a real blowout inning for the Reds when Leake fails at the sacrifice, Billy bunts the runners over, but doesn't get what he really wants, a bunt hit, and then Frazier's bid for 2 RBI on hard grounder to the right side doesn't go thru. 3-0 with the Reds needing 9 outs.
-
mhs95_06Now 3-1 needing 8 outs after the rookie from Louisville parks an 0-2 breaking ball to LF.
-
mhs95_06Leake gets thru the 7th with 1 run, 4 hits, 1 BB(a strategically successful one), and 10 Ks on 95 pitches. His neck must be feeling better!
-
mhs95_06BP a better hitter when his sore foot keeps him from over swinging! Hampers his base-running and defense though. A shame to waste Bruce's blast off the top of the CF wall. Still in range where a bloop and a blast, or worse(a walk, triple, and an error) will tie it!
-
mhs95_06Leake gets um 1,2,3 in the 8th with two more strikeouts, and turns it over to Chapman to finish. Chapman gets a K on Morse to keep his streak alive, but gives up 3 very hard hit balls to the other 3 he faced, the last being the homering rookie who bashed the 88 mph change-up like it was a minor league meatball fastball, but right at Frazier for the game ender. Great game to watch in the calmness of a late Thursday night!
