I don't believe so either. I don't think you can be a top 10 nba player without playing any defense. Same reason I don't have harden in there as well.Commander of Awesome;1634570 wrote:Kevin love isn't top 10 player IMO. -

Agreed. Also health. Hard to be the best when you're always sidelined with injuries.SportsAndLady;1634571 wrote:I don't believe so either. I don't think you can be a top 10 nba player without playing any defense. Same reason I don't have harden in there as well.
I was thinking would I rather have love or Melo? To me it was Melo, and not that hard of a decision. Do I think Melo is a top 10 player? Certainly not, which is why love isn't close. He's in the 15-25 range for me. -

In this day and age you can.SportsAndLady;1634571 wrote:I don't believe so either. I don't think you can be a top 10 nba player without playing any defense. Same reason I don't have harden in there as well. -
sleeperDefense is all about effort and I think Love would play defense if he had a shot at winning. Why risk injury for a 40 win team?
-
robj55Melo is a not a good defender at all and is top 10. Steph Curry, not a good defender, Harden same thing as well as Blake Griffin although he has improved. All these guys are considered top 10 players and are below average to poor defenders. I guess if you do enough on the other end it makes up for it if your impact on the game is high enough.

Yes, if you don't think he would play D with Lebron on his team you are crazy.sleeper;1634591 wrote:Defense is all about effort and I think Love would play defense if he had a shot at winning. Why risk injury for a 40 win team? -

Yes according to a lot of people. Not my list just the consensus on who is largely considered top 10.ernest_t_bass;1634608 wrote:Griffin Top 10? Lol -
robj55I will say that it is probably harder to defend today than it used to be due to the caliber of athletes and the fact that you can't hand check or body as much. Not making an excuse for those guys though.

KB0938Yeah i dont think everyone in the top 10 plays great defense. Unless thats what you base your top 10 on

SportsAndLadyMan melo has such a tough decision to make lol
He wants (needs) a title so bad, and that's not happening at NY. But he's leaving 50+million on the table by leaving lol he probably doesn't know what the fuck to do. -

He's not leaving that much.SportsAndLady;1634905 wrote:Man melo has such a tough decision to make lol

It's been figured out that if he takes the LA deal, he will lose less than the $17-18 mil difference. I can't remember who it was, but it was a financial guy who did all of the figuring. The only thing he couldn't factor in was how Melo files his taxes lol.
I think his best shot to win is Chicago. But I don't think he goes there. In the end I think he remains in NY. But apparently he is completely ignoring Phil as of late. -

I don't think he'll leave the money on the table. But why is it taking this long to sign? I think it's because he hates playing in NY and thinks they'll suck for a while. But just can't leave the money on the table lolwildcats20;1634908 wrote:He's not leaving that much.

wildcats20He's waiting for LeBron. Why? I have no idea, unless they have a master plan in the works.
I think him waiting til Bron decides makes him look like sloppy seconds. He should just do it and get his moment in the sun, so to speak. Not be clouded over by Bron's decision. -

These guys just like the spotlight. That's all I can think about. Everyone knows melo is signing in NY. So just fucking do it.wildcats20;1634913 wrote:He's waiting for LeBron. Why? I have no idea, unless they have a master plan in the works.

jordo212000Any thought that Melo could end up in Miami with Lebron, Wade and Bosh? With each taking pay cuts?
-

You know who said that Melo was waiting......"sources." Just like every piece of BS info that has been reported in the past week. No one puts a name to anything. Sources, sources, sources. It's fucking sports TMZ and people eat it up. -
ernest_t_bassIf Bosh doesn't go to Houston, he's a fucking moron.
-
wildcats20Bosh will have his decision in no time. There is no way in hell he stays in Miami.
-
SportsAndLadyHouston will be tough with bosh. Is parsons going to sign somewhere else then?
-
wildcats20
I don't think they have near enough room for both.SportsAndLady;1635101 wrote:Houston will be tough with bosh. Is parsons going to sign somewhere else then?
Parsons already signed the offer sheet from Dallas. -
jordo212000Would love to see Melo, Bosh and Wade in Miami. I think the NBA would love that too, talk about a juicy storyline
