  As we recall, he agreed to sign with the reds this offseason and just needed to come for the obligatory physical. After agreeing to a deal his agent called up the reds and told them they decided to sign with the red sox instead.
  
  Marty blasted him pretty good...saying "what comes around, goes around".
  
  anyways..onto tonite game.
  
  Reds players spend too much time at the good places in McKees Rocks and come out sluggish.

  Disappointing that Cozart couldn't get that run in from 3rd with one out. Harrison and Ludwick are hot, one playing, one not.

  That was a stupid way for Martin to cover home on a force play! Runner needs a path to run through the base!

  Martin needs to cover the base for a force play. Left foot on the base, the rest of the body in front and stretching toward the throw from the pitcher. He does not just need a sliding lane, but a lane to run through the base, just like first base.

  Simon is about to be the 3rd 10 win pitcher in the mlb this season. Such a pleasant surprise this year. Never thought he would do this amazing. Deserves to be an all star.

  I hate the call at home plate....as asinine as that transfer rule early in the season that kept happening. Meso had to slide and there was just nothing stopping him. Just a baseball play and a great one at that.

  The rule is working. The biggest reason why the collisions were occurring was the catchers blocking the base without the ball and the umps never called them for it. I'm glad they don't let the on field umpires review and make the call themselves.
  
  The throw from Hamilton was great and is not diminished by it being a hare late.

  I have to get to bed as I have to drive 120 miles early tomorrow for KRA training and assume I'll have cell service but you never know. I'm not starting Game 3 thread until I know for sure.....I promise to do everything possible to not be thevoice.
