End of LineNot even mad about last night. Same shit that's been hindering them the past 3 years bit them in the ass again, last night.
-
GOONx19I think we can win this series. Need these at NWA, though. I'm excited for Monday.

What would that be from a Pens perspective? From an outsider, I saw a less talented team outplay a more talented one in nearly every aspect of the game for the last 3/4ths of the game.End of Line;1607071 wrote:Not even mad about last night. Agreed. It has been a pretty even series. Pens dominated the 1st last night, but was the Jackets controlling the puck and shots after that. Game 1 was all Jackets in the 1st period, even in the 2nd, and Pens in the 3rd.queencitybuckeye;1607097 wrote:What would that be from a Pens perspective? As someone who has been a fan since 1999, wearing my original jersey from the expansion season, I was like a kid last night.
It was an awesome moment to see the team claw back after being essentially left for dead. Previous teams would have folded, and the last team that made the playoffs did. But, this team surprised me. It was great.
Can't wait to see Nationwide go crazy on Monday.
Figured the Jackets could grab a win, just didn't figure it would be game 2. -
saltoCongrats Bluejackets on the 1st playoff win!

gport_tennisIs hockey a 2/3/2 format or 2/2/1/1/1?

GOONx192/2/1/1/1

That's been their thing for the past few weeks and, in my eyes, through a lot of those struggle times they've had in recent times. They get into a "we have talent" mentality and coast. Yesterday wasn't the first time (even this year or maybe month) I've seen them jump out of the gates fast, take an early lead in a way that makes you think a game will be utter domination and then just stop, let the other team back into it and then crumble when it counts.queencitybuckeye;1607097 wrote:What would that be from a Pens perspective? Getting tiresome, especially when you consider their core players have been together long enough to know better than to have that mentality, but it still happens. -

Yes it's from a Pens perspective.queencitybuckeye;1607097 wrote:What would that be from a Pens perspective? From an outsider, I saw a less talented team outplay a more talented one in nearly every aspect of the game for the last 3/4ths of the game.
All year long, excuse me, the past 3 seasons they come out of the game hot and steamroll the first 10 minutes or so. Then they get complacent and stop working. Doesn't help there's no true physicality in the lineup since they're all down in WBS and scratched. Once Goc is good to go it'll be even worse since they'll scratch Vitale. On another board we've all been waiting for them to blow it and hope for a change. Too much complacency and no accountability. Bylsma benching Letang in the 2nd period of game 1 is the first time I've ever seen him do that. Oh, fucking get rid of Adams he's fucking useless along with Scuderi and Glass.Heretic;1607221 wrote:That's been their thing for the past few weeks and, in my eyes, through a lot of those struggle times they've had in recent times. Pens fans are in meltdown mode after one loss. -

You have a pretty loose description of meltdown mode. If being upset about losing a game a team should have won is a meltdown, most of this site must be in meltdown all the time.TedSheckler;1607346 wrote:^^^LOL

PROTIP: Avoid any sports threads. Someone will be melting down on a near-daily basis. -
TedShecklerNot really. Go read comments on Yahoo and other sites for stories on that game.
Here's one.

Every time I read a Yahoo comments section (or YouTube...or most places), I feel my brain melting and my IQ lowering. No thanks.TedSheckler;1607388 wrote:Not really. Go read comments on Yahoo and other sites for stories on that game.
That's the main purpose of this site for me, probably. We might all be dicks who insult the shit out of each other, but at least, with the occasional exception, are reasonably intelligent as far as not coming off like a total fucking 'tard every time we give an opinion on our teams. -

While message boards can be bad, comment sections are the pit of endless despair. -
dlazzI have been following the CBJ lightly this year. I did turn on the game on Saturday and I'm glad I did. Entertaining stuff.
Might have to tune in again tonight. -
thavoiceI think the Pens need to be concerned.
They were punched in the face in game one, and then came back to win and then started game 2 with a Flury. Pun intended.
Then it seems like they thought it was in the bankk and coasted only to see the CBJ want it more.
The Pens cannot be primadonna's, oh wait, pre-madonna's, or they will have another meady-oakre playoff run. -
sportchamppsDefend NWA. I'm leaving the office early and going to start drinking before going into the arena.
