    So 12 H, 2 BB, 1E, no DP. Likely a 5-2 loss, 13 LOB!

Bases loaded, 0 outs. Im feeling a triple play.

That seemed more likely than scoring 2 runs.

Reds got 2 runs. Got damn miracle

After hitting Wright with 2 out, Simon comes back from a 3-0 count on HR prone Granderson to K him to get thru 6 on 70 pitches and a 2-1 lead!
  • Azubuike24
    Will 2-1 hold up?
  • mhs95_06
Simon survives the 7th on 78 pitches with the 2-1 lead intact, thank?s to an apparent 2 run HR to left not carrying out. Simon has 78 pitches and Price says he could go 90-95. Will he let him start the 8th? Will the committee nominate JJH to try to close again, if they survive the 8th?

Smart move by Price to wait for Duda to be announced before bringing in Parra.

Yes, but a good speed up rule would be the club coming to bat has to announce their lead-off hitter before the 2 minute period between half innings, so if there is a pitching change they can get on with it during the 2 minutes.

Granderson 3rd and Ike up 4th in the 9th, and the Reds only lefty was on the mound in the 8th. Bring a righty in and put Parra playing 1B for a couple batters.

    Good win

Did Price learn his lesson? Especially when you are closing games by committee, stick with the pitcher who is "on"!
  • sherm03
Needed that win. Glad they hung on.

On to St. Louis to face the Cardinals who have been struggling with the Pirates this weekend.
  • Ironman92
I like leaving Parra in....we haven't a closer and we know Parra was sharp

I think he'll take the road to protect Hoover and say he thought Parra could Wright and then there were 2 lefties

My mistake, there was only one righty in there -- makes it easier for Price. Let Parra take his chances with the righty(chances pretty good), then he has the two lefties. And as Price explained after the game Parra is good with right handers with two low pitches that break opposite ways.

    Good win.

Isn't ironic how things come full circle? Manny Parra is now the fucking closer.
  • Rotinaj
Nice to see BP get a couple more hits. He's been hitting very well the last couple games after looking awful in the first few. Ludwick has also been hitting pretty well, 2 guys we NEED to hit well to have any success this year.

Heisey lead off and played CF....but he's not our leadoff hitter or our CF
