That would be nice, but I'll be happy just making the playoffs again after how poorly they started the season. Although, if they are a wild card, I do want them to catch the Giants and be the #1 card (one game behind right now, but they have the tiebreaker I think, so they just have to tie them). The trouble is that after this series, they finish with 7 road games, which makes me nervous. Sure, Atlanta has fallen out of contention and Cincy has been pretty bad since all the injuries and key player ineffectiveness (looking at you Bruce) caught up with them, but it's the road and Pittsburgh has been notably worse there than at home (although they have been a bit better over the past month or so). -

HereticAll but in, now. If they go 2-5 over the final seven games, the Brewers would have to go 6-0 just to tie them. Hopefully they do better than that, though, as they at least have a good shot of being the #1 wild card and being at home with the Giants instead of out there.

I will go with the home team in the battle of Pitt and SF. Across country travel for a 1 game playoff will be very tough for any team.Heretic;1656461 wrote:All but in, now. HereticThree games to go.
One behind St. Louis for the division, but they're playing Arizona who sucks (and that worthless fuck LaRussa probably's willing to throw the games to make sure his real team gets the division).
One in front of San Francisco for home field advantage in the wild card game. Technically two, since they have the tie-breaker, so as long as they don't finish with a worse record, they'll be at home, which would be big. One of the best in MLB at winning at home and under .500 on the road. -
Heretic24 HOURS* UNTIL GO TIME!!!!
*Yes, I know the game is more like 32 hours or so, but I have tomorrow off work and will likely be pre-gaming by a bit before noon. Partying like it's Wild Card 2013, baby!
