Kane played by far his worst game today

I think Kane is only like 1-10 on the season and was 0-9 to start the season that might be why

I can finally exhale. Goes to show why Hockey is the best sport on the planet.

    U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A!

    LOf*ckingL

Edit: laughing at you using a game decided by an arbitrary measure (shootout) to support your opinion

I would have much rather had more overtime periods.

    The United States of Oshie.

That was seriously awesome to watch. 4/6 on penaltys is unreal, let alone versus the same goalie, five of them back to back and in the Olympics versus Russia in Russia!!

    Wow indeed.

I like the hockey too but some of the international rules suck

Now that was a hockey game this morning. You can tell there is still a lot of bad blood between both countries even though the cold war ended years ago, that game had a lot of nastiness in it for an international game. Also I will say even though the USA is my pick to win this tournament that line of Malkin, Ovechkin and Datsyuk was nasty. I still say Pavel is one of the 10 best forwards in the NHL today, and this morning was a good example why, his vision, speed, puck handling and passing abilities are unreal. Russia's only failure was that Ovi could not bury one on the PP, if not for that they win this game

If you weren't on the edge of your couch all game then something is wrong with you. That game was exhilarating, such a high level of play, played at an even more incredible pace. It's something else to watch 65 minutes of hockey with basically all top line forwards, then a Shootout against some of the best goalies in the world

You seriously think any of these guys for the US or Russia know much of anything concerning the Cold War?

This game may get ugly quick
  • End of Line
    USA up 4-0.

Kessel with a natural hat trick.

Slovenia gets a nice garbage goal.

The Russians are really, really flat. Still tied with Slovakia 0-0 with about a minute left in regulation.. Pretty much killing any chance at the 4 seed.
  • ptown_trojans_1
Ruskies win in a shootout, finish 2nd in Group A.
But, doubt they get the 4 seed and the bye, should go to the loser of Canada and Finland later.

So, the Russians will play probably on Tuesday in an elimination game. The pressure might be too much for them to handle.

No but I don't think Russians like Americans really or vice versa

Kinda sucks any U.S-Canada rematch would be in the Semis.

Russians caught a break, they avoid Canada and the U.S. until the very end, if they can get that far.
