Steelers vs Bengals

Conversion to make it a one possession game is foiled!
  • Ironman92
Ike does it again. SMH just let him run right by him. So bad.

Need 2 first downs to run the clock....prefer a safe LOS pass, run or screen and then whatever play is needed for a 1st, fuck the 3 and out and running 2 min off. Still way too much time for that.
  • Ironman92
A 3 and out using timeouts and Bengals score in 2 minutes and Pittsburgh would have to recover onsides and get 1 first down.
  • Ironman92
    Ha ha
  • Ironman92
Fake the handoff and hit Heath for a 7 yard first down and END IT
  • Ironman92
Or hand it off, give up a TD or FG with enough time to have to recover an onsides and play more defense.
  • Ironman92
Keep em in front Ike and pressure some
  • Ironman92
Well, there was the Steelers Super Bowl....good luck to the Bengals in the playoffs.

Wasn't exact but not a bad effort

    I leave nothing to chance.

Good win. Makes you wonder why the hell that kind of effort wasn't there against the Raiders and a couple other must-win games. That's the difference between a playoff team and one that needs two more wins to just reach .500.

I'm happy with the W, I kinda of expected it. It pisses me of and also makes me think would could have been...

Cincy's playcalling was a bit weird...looked like they took a page from Todd Haley's book. You have AJ Green and you're throwing screens on 3rd and long? Maybe the wind was a factor.

Funny as you should ay that....as on WLW in cincy this morning they were saying that the bengals just dont seem to show effort or get up for important games like last night.

They don't seem to get up for games on the road.

Also, finally saw that block on the punter. Should be quite a fine for that scumbag move. Helmet to helmet block on a punter... Really?

I will admit. I was out for the count last night. The grog got the best of me saturday night and it was an early out for me sunday. Just saw the his this morning. Brutal, and he will be fined no doubt.

Fined for helmet to helmet, or because of the crack back?

What has to happen for Pittsburgh to sneak into the post season at 8-8?

GB and Cleveland left, both winnable.

    Consult footwedge on this.

I might be wrong, but I don't think they can. Miami has the tiebreaker on them and they already have 8 wins. Although I have no idea how multiple team tie breakers work. At the very best, you need Miami to lose their last 2 games.

I'm guessing they can if it's the right multi-team since last night, they kept showing Pittsburgh in the "in the hunt" column. If not, wouldn't be the first time a network's fucked up something, but I'm guessing they still have some sort of .000001% chance.

In other words, wait for me to get drunj and start a "Steoelears will make the playoffs if..." thread soon.

I believe they need the Jets to win out, Dolphins to lose out, Chargers lose one, and Ravens lose 2.

Fella's, I get it that ya intrigued on what it would take for this steelers team to make the postseason.

It is about as realistic as I Wear Pants hitting on a woman.

It could happen in some alternate universe, but it isnt going to so to get all technical on a way they can get in is just wasting time and getting your hopes up for no reason at all!

Yeah I did pretty much every scenario and the Steelers didn't get in.
