On Dec. 6, ESPN.com's Marc Stein reported the Houston Rockets are hoping to trade Omer Asik between Dec. 15 and Dec. 19, so any player they got back in the deal could also be moved by the Feb. 20 deadline. Sunday is Dec. 15 when about 134 of the 2013 free agents become trade eligible.
Well, David Aldridge of TNT/NBA.com dropped this nugget Thursday night: "Rockets will trade Asik next Wednesday or Thursday. And do not discount Cleveland (for) Anderson Varejao. Would be perfect fit next to Dwight Howard."
Asik recently dumped agent Andy Miller for Arn Tellem and this is why most executives around the NBA think a deal will get done soon, which backs up the reports from Stein and Aldridge.
Varejao's agent is Dan Fegan, who also represents Howard and Chandler Parsons, so a deal sending the Cavs backup center to Houston will not be a surprise. But, will Tellem allow Asik to go to Cleveland as the backup to Andrew Bynum? That's unlikely. What we may see in any Asik trade is a deal that includes the Rockets and either two or three more teams to satisfy all parties.
Teams linked with Asik include New Orleans, Boston, Atlanta, Portland, Philadelphia, Milwaukee, Oklahoma City and now Cleveland. -
Commander of AwesomeIf he wasn't a QQing little bitch (typical turk) about playing time I would be for the trade. But he's QQing about being a back up so we trade for him to back up Bynum? Doesn't make sense.

Exactly. He's an average player and a whiny bitch.Commander of Awesome;1552992 wrote:If he wasn't a QQing little bitch (typical turk) about playing time I would be for the trade. But he's QQing about being a back up so we trade for him to back up Bynum? Doesn't make sense. -

I'm just saying I'm not sure about it because I don't know about it. So he bitches about playing time. Thinks he's good and should be playing more. I don't get too crazy about that kind of whining.Commander of Awesome;1553060 wrote:You dont look at his public QQ I'm not playing enough trade me boohooQQ hissy fit isn't whining? -
Mulva3 straight wins. Streak probably ends there going to Miami next, but up to 9-13 for the year.

Especially when you consider he averaged a double-double last year and now is demoted back to the 15ish or so minutes per game he was in his couple NBA seasons before that. Yeah, it was more 11-10 than the 25-13 Dwight gave back in his peak years, but still, if I gave 11-10 a night and my reward was to get about 10-15 minutes a game cut off my playing time, I'd be a bit pissed.SportsAndLady;1553067 wrote:I'm just saying I'm not sure about it because I don't know about it. Had a chance to be an important piece on a team good enough to compete for a championship, but demands a trade because they brought in someone better than him. That's a whiny bitch. The Rockets already gave him a ridiculous contract, it's not like they're hurting his chances to get paid. He just cares more about getting his minutes than helping his team win a ring. I want no part of that kind of player.Heretic;1553212 wrote:Especially when you consider he averaged a double-double last year and now is demoted back to the 15ish or so minutes per game he was in his couple NBA seasons before that. Oh, OK. Because you said so.SportsAndLady;1553247 wrote:This is wrong.
All he cares about is getting his playing time.Asik's Agent wrote:““For Omer, the objective has always been to continue to develop and grow as a player. That’’s why we came to Houston in the first place. If that objective can’’t be met, if we can’’t get the right platform to grow and contribute as a player, it’’s certainly frustrating.”” -

Nice fail S&L -
Pick6Cavs looking pretty good so far against the Heat.
-
gport_tennisHome court refs tonight for the heat. Not call in fouls on the heat, calling excessive fouls on Cavs , quick to through out brown. Hard to beat a team that's better than you, its harder to beat a team that is better and get favored by the refs

Pick6
I agree. Calls that are always calls weren't getting called for the Cavs. I think the Cavs are playing good, even though they had a little let down before the half. Hard to win regardless when Lebron, Wade, and Bosh are having nights as good as this one.gport_tennis;1553431 wrote:Home court refs tonight for the heat.
