Pirate Parrot vs. Mr and Mrs Red. Game 2

  • Big_Mirg_ZHS
Reds need to win the next two to have the WC game in Cincy. Hopefully Arroyo isn't serving up gopher balls today.

My hope is that Morton is like he usually is against the Reds. Visiting my mom tomorrow and she likes football a LOT more than baseball, so the odds of me seeing much of Sunday's game are not good. Therefore, I want the wild card positions locked up today.

Oh, Pirates have the same line-up as yesterday, except at pitcher.

Marte, Walker, Cutch, Morneau, Byrd, Pedro, Martin, Barmes, Morton.

    9/28 lineup:
    Choo 8
    Ludwick 7
    Votto 3
    Phillips 4
    Bruce 9
    Frazier 5
    Cozart 6
    Hanigan 2
    Arroyo 1

Ludwick is so bad. This shit is disgusting.

WTF is Dustys obsession with having someone who is fucking terrible always hit in the top 4?

The problem is, who do you replace him with? We've seen the same script play out with Paul, Heisey and even a two position switch with Frazier in LF. We've also seen 3 or 4 other guys besides BP hitting in the 2-hole.

You know I'm not going to defend Dusty, but he really is limited as it's clear nobody on the team can hit 2nd. The best option, IMO, would be this...

    LF Choo
    CF Hamilton

That is exactly how it should be. Or he could at least, you know, have his best 4 hitters hitting 1-4. With the guys he plays it should go Choo, BP, Votto, Bruce.

Lineup was so explosive yesterday that Dusty wants to run them right back out there.

Another missed opportunity in the 1st!
  • Big_Mirg_ZHS
    Gopher balls......
  • mhs95_06
Good thing that guy with his glove over the wall didn't catch Bruce's drive - BP would have had to go back to 3rd.
  • mhs95_06
At least Cutch didn't follow Walker's 2nd HR with his own 2nd HR of the day!
  • Big_Mirg_ZHS
What are you doing dusty. Get bronson out of there two innings ago
  • mhs95_06
BP extremely fortunate that that long throw to force Cutch at 2nd didn't hit him causing everyone to be safe. Should have thrown it to the outside of 2B.

    LOL.

Where are all the Arroyo nuthuggers?

Say, by some miracle the Reds get to the NLDS. He's scheduled to pitch game 4 at home. Can't wait for that one...
  • mhs95_06
A Pitt player finally scores that wasn't standing in the batter's box when the pitch was thrown on the scoring play.
  • Big_Mirg_ZHS
    I hope that isnt serious

Who are the Arroyo nuthuggers? I don't remember seeing anyone say they loved Bronson.
  • Rotinaj
    Also, Ludwick sucks.
  • mhs95_06
Dusty, how about pinch hitting Paul here for Cozart to face the righty who has just come in and can't be lifted for a lefty?
  • Big_Mirg_ZHS
    Come on hanny
  • mhs95_06
Dusty asleep at the switch again!
  • Big_Mirg_ZHS
    Cutch is fast.....

Maybe it's just me because I hate Bronson. Still, we actually had people on here wanting him around in the playoffs...

Hopefully, he's thrown his last pitch in Cincy.
