Haha. Well, at least I admitted I hoped he holds it. He did a good job tonight.SportsAndLady;1496556 wrote:Lol such a leake hater. -
Azubuike24Billy the Kid just owned this lefty. Not only rattled the hell out of him, but he had that stolen regardless of the pitch selection/catcher.

Azubuike24S&L, I will say that we both called for this use of Hamilton months ago while there were a few detractors of bringing him up at all. I am not talking about his future as a long-term starter either, but just as a guy who could bring a whole new dimension to a team needing a pick me up.

mhs95_06What a play by "the beard" to likely ruin the 9th for the Reds offense!

Great combo of reaction time and luck. If that's slightly off to either side, we're in business.mhs95_06;1496585 wrote:What a play by "the beard" to likely ruin the 9th for the Reds offense! -
mhs95_06Chapman throwing 102 on his 4th straight day to pitch the 9th.
-
wildcats204 straight days of pure unhittable stuff from Aroldis.
-
wildcats20Great 8 reunion about to happen, aka Charlie Hustle will be on the field.

Reds made the right move waiting until September to call up Hamilton.Azubuike24;1496584 wrote:S&L, I will say that we both called for this use of Hamilton months ago while there were a few detractors of bringing him up at all. I agree, you can't use one of the 25 roster spots for a designated pinch runner. But it is an excellent use of the expanded rosters in Sept, and may make sense in the playoffs with not as many pitchers needed with the off days.se-alum;1496642 wrote:Reds made the right move waiting until September to call up Hamilton. -
Azubuike24While true, you carried Jack Hannahan, Derrick Robinson, Donald Lutz and even periods of Neftali Soto and Henry Rodriguez too. There's no way you can say Billy couldn't contribute as much as those guys.

Very true. Hell I was calling for him last season to come up in September and do exactly what he's doing now--providing a spark.Azubuike24;1496584 wrote:S&L, I will say that we both called for this use of Hamilton months ago while there were a few detractors of bringing him up at all. Tell me--do the Reds go 4-1 on this homestand so far without Billy's spark?
But are you getting free LaRosas tomorrow?Ironman92;1496602 wrote:Fucking awesome game again!!

This. You're telling me Donald Lutz has a roster spot on this team, but you'd rather make an actual threat continue to steal bases in AAA?Azubuike24;1496651 wrote:While true, you carried Jack Hannahan, Derrick Robinson, Donald Lutz and even periods of Neftali Soto and Henry Rodriguez too. Amen. And I can't wait until Jack Hannahan is off this team. Like I said before, Hamilton isn't going to bring the same type of spark as Puig did for LA, but the Reds have needed a spark for a month at least now and Hamilton could at least bring some good energy and get some steals and maybe turn a single into a double or a double into a triple and get some good mojo going. He hasn't disappointed so far. -

No, but that overall experience was priceless. I've been to about 75 games and the game/atmosphere was top 10....the great 8 ceremony shot it to the best easily.
Hell the fireworks we're great. -

I hope so, but that's 8 runners in the last 2 innings. It should be 4-2 or 5-2.
??? 5 hits and no BB in 7 2/3 against the Dodgers in GABP -
se-alumUnfortunately, Billy will have to hit for himself at some point. He's a perfect September call-up right now.

Well then he would have been a perfect September call up last year too. Because its not like he gained all this speed in the last year. -

I don't disagree at all. No reason he shouldn't have been up last year.SportsAndLady;1496728 wrote:Well then he would have been a perfect September call up last year too. Because its not like he gained all this speed in the last year.
