  If the Cardinals score 2 instead of 1 then Billy Hamilton went to waste. The dream scenario of putting him on first isn't always going to happen. And it's not like he has never gotten a hit before. There is no difference in sending him up there compared to another half dozen players on the Reds IMO. Maybe just send them up there telling him to try to get down a bunt single. It worked out tonight to make it a tie, and I'm glad, but it's not always going to work out perfectly.
