Week 1 Steelers vs Titans

  • Ironman92
    Carter had a good shot.....

I'll watch and root but FUCK...I hope they aren't out of contention by the time the World Series is over.

Pouncey AND Foote both done for the year. Today was dreadful. Gonna be a long season.

    How long does Haley last?

    Maybe through mid-October.

I wonder what the odds were on him being the first coach fired....

Just saw the DeCastro/Pouncey play. What a terrible block.

You were right about the ugly part

That probably wasn't what I was expecting. And I wasn't even expecting a particularly good offensive game. Just something that rated above "hilariously inept".

Well, I guess the good news is that we wont get heartbroken by a big playoff or super bowl loss this season. Going In I was expecting only 8-8, but with those injuries and how horrid they looked I am thinking more like 4-5 wins.

I didn't watch, but following the Gamecast was painful enough.

    Pouncey out really really sucks.

I just saw Decastro's shot on Pouncey and it looked like a dirty/cheap play on Decastro's fault that backfired.

Welcome to the world of cut-blocking. Completely legal in the NFL. Granted, the technique is generally not to put your head down, close your eyes and dive into a pile.

For quite awhile that was something the broncos used often when they were churning out RB's with great numbers each season.

Apparently our guys did the Bizarro World version of Denver's tactics, then.

No running game + take out your own guy = time to go back to the drawing board and figure out what new products ACME is offering...Wil E. Coyote style.

Really sad part is that out of 15 runs, the play Pouncey got hurt was the ONLY TIME it was the new zone blocking.

I've come to the conclusion that PIT simply can't find anyone to coach OL (and ST, too).

    Fuck the Steelers

    Feel better now?
