That's not a typical "last game of the series" lineup for Dusty.wildcats20;1489867 wrote:Would be real nice to get this one today.

HereticHow do the Reds only have one run now? Paying attention at work on Yahoo and it seems Cahill is one step away from a complete meltdown. Hell, I thought he was just going to have it this past inning.
- S. Choo singled to shallow center - T. Frazier struck out swinging - S. Choo to second on wild pitch - J. Votto walked, S. Choo to third on wild pitch - J. Votto to second on wild pitch - B. Phillips grounded out to second, S. Choo scored, J. Votto to third - J. Bruce walked - R. Ludwick struck out looking - End of Inning (1 Run, 1 Hit, 0 Errors) -
SportsAndLadyHeretic because the reds score 13 runs a game then score 8 in the next 6.
Unfortunately they scored 10 yesterday so were toast today.
Just gotta hope latos is great today. -

Terry_TateReds lose 6-4 BTW

I can relate. Pirates put up 8 on Tuesday against a pretty good pitcher...and then got completely shut down by Ian Fucking Kennedy last night. You just shake your head and start drinking heavily. No other way to cope.SportsAndLady;1490008 wrote:Heretic because the reds score 13 runs a game then score 8 in the next 6.

Reds got owned by Ian Kennedy 2 Sunday's ago. Luckily Bochy left him in too long, he allowed a game-tying 2-run HR in the 8th and the Reds won in extras 3-2. Kennedy has been pitching great for about 6 weeks, especially since leaving Zona.Heretic;1490026 wrote:I can relate. I remember that home run. I actually felt bad for Kennedy because he definitely was pitching a gem and deserved the W. -
Midstate01This game has been so typical of the reds. Have a pitcher on the ropes, dont finish him, then do absolutely nothing after that.
-
Midstate01And with no broxton and no Chapman, scoring and being up by a comfortable margin would have been nice.
-
Azubuike24...and it was Bud Black, not Bochy. Brain fart. None the less, he was PISSED after that HR. That's what happens when you're going good. Hopefully, that happens today.

sportchamppsWill Latos finish this one out

The "W" is the important thing.
Thank God Latos was awesome and the defense made some plays. Our offensive gameplan was simply atrocious. We scored only because of wild pitches. The old bass ackwards be aggressive on the guy who can't repeat his motion and has walk issues.
"He has trouble throwing strikes and he's going to be trying to get ahead and we need to jump on him and hit that first pitch" That pitcher was missing by feet, wild pitch, wild pitch, wild pitch. He had no control but our swinging early allowed him to go SEVEN innings giving up 1 run.
This win was despite whoever made the offensive gameplan.
Thank God for Latos.
