Throw a few in the dirt or off the plate. Make them guess whats coming. Change-ups and fastballs that catch the entire plate are going to get hammered.
He's basically been a fastball/change-up pitcher(at least according to STATS) this year. 61% FB and 19% change. If that is what he is working with, even if he is 94-96 with the fastball, he better be throwing that change-up down and/or off the plate. Obviously, today that must not be the case. Or he is trying to pump fastballs by guys with 2 strikes. If he wants to do that, you better have electric stuff like, ie Masty.

We've got to pinch hit for Lonnie here correct?
  • Wooball
Why couldn't we have traded Druby before the year before he had some value. Good God he has been awful this year, especially in August.

Giambino ties it in the 8th!

too bad the Tribe didn't score in the top of the 11th.....Perez back out there for a second inning. Just imagine he could have had two blown saves in one game!

    Big win there

    ....and holy Joe Mauer!

    Big win, pathetic stat....
Looking to build on the confidence gained from pitching one-hit ball in five relief innings last Friday, Cleveland starter Carlos Carrasco allowed 10 hits and four earned runs in 4 1/3 innings. Carrasco, who was recalled from Triple-A Friday, is winless in seven starts this year and hasn't won since June 29, 2011, at Arizona.

If I look up in September and we are within 3 of Detroit, Ill start scoreboard watching them.

But, until then, its all about the WC!!!

That makes the most sense. But it's just my nature to watch them and hope.

Speaking of KC and Detroit...they have a series in kittyland this weekend.
  • bases_loaded
They need to make a move and get something in the middle of the lineup.

Call Minnesota and see what the price is for Morneau
  • BRF

A random side note: Why was Carrasco even in the rotation. Even with the injuries, we have a 5 man rotation. Masty, Ubaldo, ZMac, Salazar and Kazmir.
  • HitsRus
^^^trying to get Kazmir some rest.
