Pirates at Reds - Game 3
-
Terry_TateLet's do it, bitches.
-
Ironman92Lineup same with Frazier back and Corky catching
-
Ironman92Looked balkish.....had Choo slid to the outside he makes it easily
-
Ironman92$20 million on a HR swing on 1st strike by BP
-
Ironman92C'mon Heisey
-
Azubuike24Reds threatening in the 5th.
-
Azubuike24BTW, I don't care about numbers. There's no way you can leave Homer Bailey off a playoff rotation. The guy is hitting 98 and 99, and when he has the change and slider working, he's got the best stuff on the staff. Probably top 3-6 in the NL.
-
Azubuike246.1 innings, 5 hits, 2 ER, 12 K's. In line for the loss
-
jordo212000Dusty is a moron
-
Azubuike24I actually don't disagree with Dusty (crazy right)??? I agree with leaving Homer in, to at least face the guy prior to the error. He earned it. Both of those hits and the grounder were inches from being outs.
-
Ironman92After the very lengthy AB by McKenry in which he smoked the ball into the gap....on pitch #113 You take him out. There was a hard hit grounder and a well hit liner off of Phillips' glove.
Dusty, to me was trying to get Homer the win. I don't agree with it. -

Yep, that at-bat did zap Homer. That's what you get with a player's manager though. Dusty, loyal to a fault trying to get his guy a win.Ironman92;1476153 wrote:Dusty, to me was trying to get Homer the win. I don't agree with it.
It's a moot point until the Reds get more than 1 damn hit... -
Ironman92But he never let's anyone go that long
-
Midstate01Thats a massive double play for the pirates
-
Azubuike24Votto swings at the first 2 pitches. Melancon threw 9 balls and 5 strikes prior to that at-bat.
-
SportsAndLadyUnreal votto
-
Azubuike24We really take for granted how many nobodies the Reds have brought up from the minors in the last 4 years who have been solid bullpen parts. Hoover, Ondrusek, LeCure, Simon (from waivers), Masset (throw-in in the Griffey trade), Parra (minor league FA) and Partch.
-
Azubuike24Jay Bruce with 7 K's in this series. He must still be on break...

He was awful yesterday -
Azubuike24This is about the 9th game this year where I wanted to put a fist through my flat screen after watching every pitch...FFS.
-
SportsAndLadyYeah very frustrating game to watch. I'm sitting in a box suite and have free drinks and food and I was still irritated by the game. Dusty baker, folks

Yeah....the game went along as if I was there, without the 4 hour rain delay -

I don't have a problem with Votto swinging at pitches. The guy has a great command of the strike zone and if anything I wish at times he would swing MORE and expand his zone. I have more of an overall issue with him that he is becoming a singles guy who gets a lot of walks. Not 250 million dollar player at this point. The game was lost when Votto and BP didn't come through. You can argue the whole thing about leaving in Bailey but if he got out of it those same people who are bitching would be saying that it was good to leave him in as he was throwing a good game, or if the BP comes in and blows it that they shoulda let him stay.Azubuike24;1476164 wrote:Votto swings at the first 2 pitches.
