Pirates at Reds - Game 2

Azubuike24Well, that Alvarez fly ball likely doesn't score AM anyway...but yeah, fluky that he stumbled like that.
-
Azubuike24Dusty blowing this by not using Chapman with 2 outs in the 8th. Sigh...

Jughead
He is the worst at managing these type of situations. It's the reason why he constantly fails in the postseason and is also the reason I dread seeing contract extensions. The Reds just seem to win in spite of him.Azubuike24;1475711 wrote:Dusty blowing this by not using Chapman with 2 outs in the 8th. Sigh... -
Azubuike24He got away with it, but lets say this is October. You're facing the Cardinals in the NLCS. Same situation...their #2 hitter Carlos Beltran up.
Does Logan Ondrusek, Manny Parra or Alfredo Simon give you guys confidence or would you go to Chapman for the 4-out save?
You HAVE TO pray that Marshall and Broxton can get healthy... -
Big_Mirg_ZHSNice job ondrusek. But why not double switch and bring in Chapman
-
Azubuike24Major pressure on Aroldis. First and third, none out.
-
Big_Mirg_ZHSBig win
-
Azubuike24Chapman's best performance as a Red, IMO.

Just got home and watched the 9th. Listened to final 2 outs on radio. I agree chapmans best performance. He was throwing GAS.
But what stuck out even more in the inning was the play were hanahann double clutched and Cutch beat it out. To me he was clearly safe. Yet baker comes out and argues. Yet he RARELY comes out and argues in situations when at least we think he should. Just irks me. -

Was at the game, and the guy I was with (not a Reds fan) asked why Dusty would bring in one of the worst pitchers in that situation, instead of our best. I just shook my head and sighed
