I've come to realize he is going to let guys on base and have a terrible attitude but he still is a better closer than most in division.

I am betting on Swisher coming out blazing after getting some R&R during the all star break.
Very much agreed on all of your opinions. I just hope Reynolds get back to his start rather than his last 20 games. Even if he hits .220 I wont mind if he knocks in 20-22 homers the to finish the year

No way he will turn into a sowers or huff. They were both soft tossing guys who pitched to contact. Where Salazar is a flame thrower strike out pitcher who is still working on his off speed stuff which is already nasty as hell. What I like about Salazar is he has excellent control. When you can spot a 98-99 mph fastball. It is basically unhitable

I guess my question is, why have I barely heard about this guy if he's so dirty? What's his weakness that has made it so he hasn't been a top prospect?

He was signed when he was 16. Then he had the arm troubles and had the tommy John surgery in 2010. So he hasn't pitched much since 2010 until late last year. He was the tribes 30 something prospect last year and after what people saw of him at the end of last year he exploded up to the tribes number 6 prospect. He has slowly developed his off speed stuff that is my guess on why he was not highly touted until this year. He's still only 23

Curious about the asdrubal trade rumors. I think aviles can fill right in so I am not totally against it in the right deal

I wouldn't be against it if you get something worthwhile in return. While Asdrubal is a good player, he is overrated. He is a liability on defense.

I think we could get 2 of the cards top pitching guys. They have about 4-5 that are major league ready and have the best farm system in baseball. They need a short stop badly and we need some young starters. We could actually have a pretty nasty pitching rotation if we could get 2 of their top guys.

Underwood just said that Reynolds has struck out 58 times in his last 38 games...that is fucking horrendous.

Tribe up 3-0 after a Santana single and a Bourn double. Still no out with runners on 2nd and 3rd in the 7th
  • Con_Alma
Reynolds loaded the bases with a bunt in that inning. The ultimate surprise.

Geez COA, I almost posted a "tl;dr"! Ha ha ha!

Looks like we are doing pretty good right now. The Royals don't know yet that we suck.

Man, our bullpen just can't make it easy....and Kluber pitched a whale of a ballgame!!!

    That's 1.53 per game....for his career he's a 1.31 guy.

All-time leader Reggie is .96 per gamer

If the Tribe win 1 of the next 2 games it will be the first time to hit 50 wins before the all star break since 2007.

I have to disagree with Druby being a liability on defense, especially compared to Aviles. Aviles is fine in the role he's played this year. But he's not equal to Asdrubal in the field or at the plate. If we are going to stay in this thing, I want Cabrera playing every day.

With the strides Kluber, Kazmir, and McAllister have made this year our rotation is really starting to shape up. And than you throw in Salazar.

I'm so pumped for this. They play in Harrisburg next weekend. I'm definitely heading to a game or 2

Yeah, I was surprised it took this long. He's hit above .300 all year and is definitely ready to advance.
