Reds v. Brewers. Game Two
-
thavoiceI am officially 0-0 in starting game threads.
WIth the ASB coming up what do you feel the reds need to do to boost this team?
LF, 3B, Catcher and SS are not contributing much on a consistant basis. SP has been strong.
Game 2 vs the brewers. These, and those against the Mariners, are games this team needs to win.
With both catchers ailing, is the return of Corky imminent? If so, God help us all as he is awful and there has to be a better option. Well, to think about it I doubt there are any down in the minors with enough experience with this staff.
I saw the reds win 9-2 -
RotinajWell the Reds suck so im guessing they'll lose 4-1 and leave 14 on.
-
Midstate01I don't see the reds makin any deals that we will think are great.
-
Ironman92Well...they talked to Frenchie so I don't like our odds of getting anything that will help.
We need about 2 of our definite outs to become pesky guys that can get on base about .330 clip -
SportsAndLadyIdk I could see them doing something. Just sucks out farm system is already pretty bare, so if they made a move we'd have no one there (assuming that's who will be traded, and not active players).

thavoiceHave to wonder if they are just waiting on Ludwick to produce when he comes back and hoping that VOtto starts going on a tear, and Bruce to start his monster streaks.
I am not for knee jerk reactions and I know Dusty trusts his starters but maybe cozart needs to sit a little bit more. I have to admit, I about ship my pants when he had Hannahan and Izturis in the other day in resting two starters, and they went out and I think had 6 hits between the two.
There is a time when you need to light a fire under some guys who are not proven starters yet. Your studs like bruce, votto, phillips and such need to play through slumps, but when you have young guys...young guys ya dont know for certain IF they are your long term solution I think you need to try some new things. I think Frazier is the guy for third...but why not have him sit a little bit more?
There is a quote from bobby knight from years ago that I always remember.
The greatest motivation is a players ass on the bench. Ass meets bench. Bench retains ass. Ass sends signal to brain. Brain gets ass of the bench and plays a whole helluvalot better. -
Midstate01Even if Ludwick came back and hit .400 it might be too late. They are saying Mid August at best for his return.
-
wildcats20Heisey gets hit just above the elbow in the 2nd and then has to leave the game. Sweet.
-
Azubuike24Hell, he got drilled on the wrist last night. I was shocked he wasn't hurt from that...
-
SportsAndLadyJesus we suck
2-0 -
Azubuike24Their pitcher blows too...
-
Midstate01Id rather just fade now. We arent doing shit in the playoffs. Start losing now and maybe MAYBE they finally hire the fuckhead baker.
-
wildcats20So obvious that he was safe. Knew it live and the replay confirmed it.
-
Midstate01Robinson was safe. Pretty easily too
-
SportsAndLadyOh what the fuck..how do you even call that safe? Fucking piece of shit
-
SportsAndLadyGood job guys!!
-
RotinajWhat a fucking pathetic game. This team has been so upsetting to watch for a while now.
-
se-alumI don't know what this team can do. Cozart is a big problem, but our bench is even worse. Our position player depth in the minors has to be close to the worst in baseball, so there's no calling up someone that can provide a spark. We do have some young pitching prospects to use at the trade deadline. I think we could package Corcino in a trade. I just don't see him doing much in the majors, but a lot of people see him as a top prospect in the organization.
