What is it with Cleveland and bottle throwers?

  • cats gone wild
If there is beer/water bottle throwing, it usually involves cleveland. I was at the browns game years ago, when everyone was throwing beer bottles, and now we have Laker fans throwing them while playing a "cleveland' team.

I remember, I was up 40+ rows in the dawg pound for my first browns game ever, and people were making it close to the field or hitting people in the first few rows from where I was sitting. And then I remember the teams were took off the field and I walked to my vehicle and the game started back up again after I walked all the way to the tail-gating area. It was still a bad call against the browns, considering they already ran a play before they reviewed the previous play.

I can't watch bottlegate without getting pissed off. At least Cleveland fans had a good reason. Laker fans are just douches.
Bottlegate: Warning, if you are a Browns fan you will be angry.

    Very classless.

What was classless? Throwing bottles? I agree, but at least there was a good reason for it. Laker fans were throwing stuff on the court because their team was losing. A little different scenario.

What is the good reason to attempt to injure someone?
  • iclfan2
I meant a good reason to be upset. Not to injure anyone. Settle down. The Refs dicked them. Whereas in L.A. the fans are just cry babies, like Kobe.

Well, the Lakers were just pissed that they were losing and that they weren't getting their way.

The Browns really did get dicked over big time by dumbass officials that don't know the rules.

What was the good reason?? A blown call by the refs?? O'k, if that is the justification for throwing plastic beer bottles at an NFL game, then I guess the Lakers fans had the same justification. They felt the refs were missing or making some no calls. Same thing, right??

Opinions are different. Just because they felt that they were getting screwed, doesn't mean they were.

When the NFL rulebook clearly states that you cannot review a play after another play has been ran, and it still gets reviewed, and even worse, overturned, then it's a fact that one team got screwed.

It doesn't mean either party had good reason to throw stuff, but there is CLEARLY more justification in one more than the other.

Google "bottle throwing incidents" and you will find a LOT more incidents that DON"T involve Cleveland than there are that do.

Not a blown call, a complete raping of the rules. I also believe the bottles were glass then, and why they are plastic now. And no, Lakers fans are just babies they were getting tromped. Bad calls were going both ways in that game.

Cleveland got screwed big time whereas the Lakers finally had a game fairly reffed and got BLOWN out. I blame Kobe since he was the one revving up the crowd with his constant whining and technical fouls. Maybe if Kobe wouldn't have chucked LA out of the game the fans wouldn't have been so upset.

Regardless, anyone who throws a bottle (or a shoe. who throws a shoe? honestly.) is a dumbass.
