Milwaukee Brewers (Gallardo) @ Cincinnati Reds (Bailey) - Game 69/162

Azubuike24Lets hope Votto's night off means he goes on another tear. It would be nice to have another awesome month considering we have 19 of the next 34 games out west.

sherm03Broxton to the 15 day DL. Villareal brought up.

Ramon Ramirez (career 3.42 ERA) just DFA'ed by the Giants (remember, he shut the Reds down in 2 games last year in the NLDS)sherm03;1458256 wrote:Broxton to the 15 day DL. Villareal brought up.
Jose Arredondo with 36 K's in 24 innings at Louisville
Greg Reynolds, a rule 5 pick who is 7-0 with a 2.51 ERA at Louisville (who the Reds will lose if he isn't recalled soon due to rule 5)
...and they bring up this fucking guy? Awful. -

Pretty sure Arredondo is hurt. -
Azubuike24He just pitched June 10. He was hurt, but he's on the active roster. Hitters hitting .171 against him. He has major control issues which is why his ERA is high, but it baffles me that with his stuff, MLB experience (and success) and team bullpen woes, he can't get called up.
I mean Villareal is on the 40-man and he isn't. Baffling. -

Isn't today the day Reynolds can opt out?Azubuike24;1458258 wrote:Ramon Ramirez (career 3.42 ERA) just DFA'ed by the Giants (remember, he shut the Reds down in 2 games last year in the NLDS)

Azubuike24He's slated to start for Louisville tonight. Yes, it is.
I guess I'm just shocked you wouldn't give him a shot over a guy in Villareal who isn't a MLB caliber arm and isn't some guy with a super future... -

I think Villareal will only be here today. Cueto comes off tomorrow, and Cingrani is staying in the pen.Azubuike24;1458285 wrote:He's slated to start for Louisville tonight. Yes, it is.

se-alumBailey strugglin' today.

brutus161Tomorrow, I'm going to the Bats/Tides game to watch Hamilton steal a few bases. This might be the only good thing that has happened since I'm came to Norfolk. This place sucks.

Did we switch places for a week? This place is awesome. -

No. I've been here since October, and it has no redeeming qualities.Ironman92;1458360 wrote:Did we switch places for a week? This place is awesome. -

Only saw a bit of the game today. Was already in the negative when I turned it on, so it really was a forgettable one.se-alum;1458286 wrote:I think Villareal will only be here today. Cueto comes off tomorrow, and Cingrani is staying in the pen.
Still, with Villareal...isn't it somewhat disconcerting that with the bullpen struggles, he's been called up twice? I mean there's no telling what might happen if a SP goes down. Obviously Cingrani is immediately back into the rotation and might even go anyway, if someone has a skipped start or better match-up.
