    We need asdrubal back also.

Reynolds will get hot and hit close to 40HRs. But he is what he is, an 0-4 waiting to happen. A .250 (at best) hitter who will strike 180+times

I'm trying to remember the last HR he hit. It's been a while.

I hope I'm wrong, but I'll go out on a limb and say he won't hit over 30.

Was down 5-0 now up 6-5. Pretty crazy considering how great Zimmerman had been all year

    Post this more often, please.

When do we stop using vinnie pestano in close games? Lol. He has been so bad all year.
  • GOONx19
Swisher with a horrible play on a pop fly foul ball. Should've been the third out, instead next pitch went yard.
  • chippy10
I'll make a prediction will rock Strasburg tomorrow! go tribe.

It wasn't Vinny fault bad defense game is on swisher tonight. You have to make that play fundamentals.

Ummm, just because its an unearned run doesnt mean it isnt a guys fault. Vinnie has been bad all year. I dont understand why everyone is giving him a pass.

He still gave up ANOTHER homerun. Unacceptable.

yeah, he has been pretty bad. Just shows that you can never count on bullpens from year to year.

Pestano has given up a run (or more) in over 1/3 of his appearances for a 4.76 ERA (before tonight).

He has only gone 1-2-3 in 5 of his 18 IP

19 Ks versus 8 BBs, is not a very good split.

He just simply hasnt been good.

WBC. He was cranking it up in March for that fucking tournament. Didn't get a normal spring ramp up. Its a cop out but definitely could be a factor.

It probably is a factor. But why should I, as a fan, GAF? He sucks right now, no other way to put it. I dont care why, I just dont want to see him out there in meaningful games until he goes a few weeks with consistent work where he doesnt look like shit.

Who do we have then? We are running out of bullpen pitchers that we can rely on in crucial situations. Somebody has to be out there.

Joe Smith has a 1.16 ERA (before tonight). Cody Allen (though, less tested in close/late innings) has a 2.25 ERA.

Allen has 38Ks and 10 BBs and a WHIP of 1.00
Smith has 26 Ks and 8 BBs and a WHIP of 0.98

Im sure Brian Shaw has very solid numbers as well. I would use any of those 3 (and Perez when he is back) before I would touch Pestano in another close game.
  • vball10set
    The bullpen. Again. Smfh.
  • royal_k
I've been saying for a while that Cody Allen should be getting a look at closing.

Need today's game to keep the momentum they started in Texas. Hopefully Kluber has a good one.
  • Crimson streak
Does pestano have any options left? Once Perez gets back maybe it would be a good idea to send him down to aaa get some confidence back and work on some things for a week or 2.
  • Crimson streak
    Kluber has been awesome today
  • wes_mantooth
That last inning was flat out awesome work by him

So happy to see hagadone loosening up in a tight game....sigh

  • Crimson streak
