  Success is a part of doucheness. In theory, a guy like Omar Casspi could be as big of a douche as Kobe, but one's an aging megastar and the other is a nobody everywhere outside of Cleveland (and possibly in Cleveland, considering his role on the team was definitely not "integral piece moving forward"). Both of them could get "busted" by tabloid-like sites for not tipping after huge meals, but with one, you'll get a lot of "It's Kobe, what do you expect" and the other will get a lot of "Who the fuck is that?" responses.
  
  In a way, it worries me. If Ben is losing his "Uber-Douche" shine on this site, maybe the doomsayers are correct and the sun is setting on this era of Steeler football.

  He was never charged with any rape-related crimes. He never spent time in court being tried for any rape-related crimes. No one here has had anything more concrete to offer than "when there's smoke there's fire" and "he was douche back in college, so I'm not surprised".

  You're not totally sure he's guilty, becuase he's the QB of your favorite football team. Everyone else could look at what is already out there and take a logical stance of "He probably didn't hold a girl down in the woods and rape her, but that girl was definitely NOT wanting to sleep with him, and he and his crew certainly did not give a single fuck." Anyone else gets put in jail for a significant amount of time; Roeth has money so he got out of even going to trial (aka, probably paid her a shit ton under the table).
  
  Also, I'd rather be a fan of the Browns/Reds/Buckeyes/Jayhawks, hell I'd rather be a fan of the Yankees, Cowboys, Blackhawks, Alabama fball, and Kentucky bball than a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.   Ok heretic, I like your posts, so I realize everyone has an idiotic post here and there. Fact of the matter is rapistberger is a scumbag POS. He had the same reputation of being forceful when he was playing at Miami. When I was there, I heard numerous stories from older alumni how he would be very agressive with girls, and once pulled a girl back to him telling her "nobody turns down ben roethlistberger." Dude is just a fucking scumbag from a shithole town in Ohio. The whole butthurt argument is a reach and nonesque no matter how you cut it. Sure, you can call me biased since I am a cleveland fan, but there are plenty of fans outside of Cleveland who think rapistberger is a scumbag POS. Just look at the comments of any article featuring rapistberger. Are you trying to tell me every one of those "rape" comments are coming from fans within the AFC North? LOL.   Shit forget about Miami he has been a POS since high school. I've never heard anything great about him. Althought his mom is really nice. She always would come into the Kroger I worked at when I was in high school. I'll never forget the one time Big Ben came in and there I guess was a little bit of milk on the floor that leaked and when he came through the line he almost slipped and fell it was really hard not to laugh.

  First, been a long ass day (being up and around at whatever time I posted earlier isn't my thing), so if I'm less coherent than usual, it's tiredness as opposed to drunkenness.
  
  The Kobe thing confuses me because there were so many mixed signals coming from so many sides. Hell there was his own comments from after charges were dropped (swiped from Wiki) "Although I truly believe this encounter between us was consensual, I recognize now that she did not and does not view this incident the same way I did. After months of reviewing discovery, listening to her attorney, and even her testimony in person, I now understand how she feels that she did not consent to this encounter."
  
  That kinda led me to at least believe it might have gone the route of a consenting encounter that went farther than she'd like. I do remember, solely due to the hilarity of the comment, that in his testimony, Kobe made a comment about putting it up the ass because that's what he does. Might not have been her thing, though, so part of the lawsuit was based on getting something other than what she wanted. Or not.
  
  To tie that in with Ben, when it comes to the two cases I know about (CoA said three, but I don't know of that third one and my lazy glance at Wiki only mentioned two unless I was so lazy I completely missed one...if anyone actually has a link to the third, I'd at least be interested in reading it), my honest feelings are this.
  
  1. The chick in the hotel was looking to extort. I don't recall anything particularly trustworthy about her, but do recall testimony from a coworker saying she was talking about doing him and not in the rape way before any complaint was ever made.
  
  2. The bar chick, I think, was along the lines with what I inferred from that Kobe quote. They went into the bathroom, she got cold feet (because, you know, bar bathroom sex...), he kept going, the general drunkenness of the night wound up making it hard to get stories straight and whatnot in order to get enough evidence to file charges.
  
  So personal opinion is that he probably did commit one rape and at least I'm usually grounded enough to not let emotions guide me in this sort of thing. Just hard for me to say something definitely happened and go forward with 100% certainty when neither incident is remotely cut-and-dry IMO.

  the 3rd does seem to a bit weak, as I can't find any "traditional" source on it though I found plenty citing the story. No word on the outcome. Also it should be noted WHILE this was going on (the trials etc..) he whipped his dick out while on a public gof course and took a piss. Later he got a buddy of his to take the charge, but eye witness accounts said it was rapistberger. Just an interesting side note.
