Reds lose 4-1, Cueto throws a perfect game.

Well, Marcum has gotten killed this year and Cueto is coming off a month layoff.

    Expect a 1-0 game...

Should be interesting to see what Cueto does tonight. There has been talk about him once again changing his windup.

I'm expecting a short outing. And with the way the bullpen has been lately, I'm hoping the offense lights it up. Otherwise, I won't feel comfortable about this game.

I think he has too. No doubt that it's what is causing him issues.

Looks like the O is doing well so far. Three runs in, still only one out.

Votto is such a smart player. Very head's up by him to really sell the interference on his way to second base.
  • mhs95_06
Marcum extremely ineffective and trying to maximize his time on the mound(for what looks like an ending career) by throwing over to 1B often.

This is, without a doubt (and I am very calm and unemotional about it at the moment), the WORST Mets team since at least 1993. It's literally Matt Harvey, David Wright, Bobby Parnell and a bunch of horrid ballplayers. The Mets MAY win one game, when Harvey pitches on Wednesday, but even then they are likely to lose 1-0. Yet, the Wilpons continue to own this team as no one attends the game and after they were part of the whole Madoff scheme. Can you tell I am bitter right now???

Votto may be a smart hitter, but in no way would I call him a smart, or good, baserunner!

They keep sayin' he sold it, but Davis was clearly in the path of the runner.

Yea it was the right call and an easy one.

Dusty says he didn't want extended innings for Cueto? Was that extended pitch count for Johnny on the mound, or extended time of inactivity on the bench while the Reds hit which would promote him stiffening up? Looks like Dusty go both in the 1st, but Reds lead 3-0 thanks to BP's big inning ending snare.

Reds being the Reds. They get a lead, and then start giving away at-bats against a terrible pitcher.
  • Midstate01
Cueto is extremely rusty and missing all over the place. Surprised the mets aren't just standing there.
  • se-alum
Yea, hopefully LeCure is on point tonight.
  • mhs95_06
Cueto looks like he's going to have trouble claiming the win after being staked to a 3-0 lead before he ever took to the mound.
  • Midstate01
    Tie game. Cueto looks awful.
  • mhs95_06
Cueto with his best two pitches of the game, to K Duda and Ike, but in between Byrd killed a breaking ball in the middle of the zone for a 3 run HR to tie it. Then he gets lucky on a bad pitch to K Buck for the last out of the 3rd. Johnny in high jeopardy of not being able to go even 5 innings with 67 pitches thru 3 innings. Marcum with only 51 thru 3 after having 31 in the first.
  • mhs95_06
Hanigan has taken two balls off the foot tonight, one on offense, one on defense. He did a good bit of hopping on each.
  • Midstate01
I don't think a reds hitter has struck out swinging at a strike. All out of the zone.
  • mhs95_06
Izturis with another wasted AB. Maybe that is good -- when it happened in the 1st, the Reds scored 3!
  • Midstate01
Dusty will bunt cozart in the 1st fucking inning...but not Caesar in the 5th!?!?!? Fucking baker.

    Holy shit
