They've just improved on what they were bad at but here's a rundown
    • Zetterberg and Datsyuk are playing really well right now, especially Z who is always a monster in the playoffs
    • Howard is continuing his good play
    • Franzen, Filppula and Abdelkader were very underwhelming during the regular season but are now playing how we thought they would
    • Detroit is getting healthy for the first time really, having Samuelsson, Bertuzzi and Coliacovo are helpful
    • The explosion of Nyquist, Brunner and Andersson. Nyquist looks like a Datsyuk in the making, Brunner can score and Andersson moves the puck well. Combine all that and you have a dangerous 3rd line

There is zero reason to start MAF the rest of the way.

Truth. Vokoun would have to suck horribly for multiple consecutive games before I'd want to see MAF do anything involving him playing in a game.

The Boston game last night is in my top 5 games watched ever. Never seen anything like it.

    Also, Lets Go Pens!

Pens up 2-1 after the 1st

Good win for the Pens. Vokoun was solid in net once again. Wish game 2 wasn't until Friday night.

Bruins, Penguins, and Blackhawks are great examples of why you need two solid goalies on your team. If Rask is ever pulled or can't start, Khudobin has showed he can pick up the slack. I don't remember the Penguins having such a solid back up in recent history. Vokoun could start for a handful of teams in this league and it's just another example of how deep the Penguins are.

Also, anyone else catch End of Line at the game last night? lol. This is disturbing.

If i were the caps GM i'd cut him...
Alzner has been around for three postseasons. He was asked if he questions the club's ability to make a deeper run.
"It's funny you ask that," Alzner began, with a bit of a chuckle. "A little bit."
Hearing his own words, Alzner continued: "I don't know if that's the right mentality."
And then he completed the thought: "I'm sure it's not the right mentality."

Alzner was complete garbage in the playoffs. I'd cut his ass too
