Neither are very good. X has a better approach but Heisey is better on defense.

    Best 2nd basemen in baseball.

    Yes. That includes Robbie Cano.

X has a MUCH better approach and LF defense is overrated.

The reds had wainwright on the edge after 5. He's thrown I think 20 pitches since. The first pitch swinging and grounding out softly is back.

He is not better than Cano.

    Defensively? It's not close.

    Offensively? It's not close.

    1 for each

Lol I was completely kidding. I just said it strictly on you being an Indians fan.

I know you were. But, I had to vent anyway. He has pissed me off with his approach dating back almost to that thread.

I mean, I assume you give BP the defense. But Cano has 2 GG...including last year. Dude is as good a fielder as we have in the game. BP is better, but that is anything but a runaway.

Offensively Cano is much further ahead of BP then BP is defensively. Cano has the power numbers to beat BP for sure. But even pure hitting (avg) you have BP with 1 season at exactly .300 and Cano with just 2 seasons under .300 (and 1 is his his rookie year when was .297)

Defense is a runaway. BP is as good as it gets defensively, probably ever at the 2nd base spot.

I have Robbie Cano a little ahead of BP overall. BP has that flair that is so entertaining but Cano does those throws to his right that I've never seen anyone else make.

Hell of a play by Molina after his boo boo.....lol at the thought of him and Broxton racing
  • mhs95_06
Broxton blew the hotbox play! He did the right thing running at Molina, but gave up the ball too soon and let him head back toward 3rd. Pathetic! A play that should have been to the advantage of the Reds went to the advantage of the Cards. Instead of an out and runner on 1st, they got an out and a faster runner on 2nd!

It was the eye sore I was hoping to avoid.

Maybe Chris and Broxton can do a Tech Talk on rundowns

Anyone else here that Jason Collins is gay?

Cano is up there as best 2nd baseman ever on the offensive side. And he is still closer defensively than BP is to his offense, imo.

As I92, the throws Cano can make running up the middle are matched by no one.

I also think Robbie Alomar is a better defensive player than BP.

BTW....this is the game right here

Alomar is the best defensive 2nd baseman I have ever seen....and one of the elite all-around players we'll ever see.
