Yeah. He's worse than Sanchez and that's almost impossible. -

Never said he'd get claimed on Waivers....they just said those are three potential landing spots for him at some pointSportsAndLady;1436447 wrote:Went unclaimed today on Waivers...uh oh -
Classyposter58Tebow should stay away from the Midwest, Rust Belt cities aren't exactly overly friendly

Raw Dawgin' itLOL He wouldn't even start in the CFL
http://www.latimes.com/sports/sportsnow/la-sp-sn-tim-tebow-cfl-20130430,0,1245251.storyThe Montreal Alouettes own Tebow's exclusive CFL negotiating rights, and their general manager seems to be in no hurry to make room on his roster for the popular American quarterback.
“We have quarterbacks under contract,” Jim Popp told the Montreal Gazette. “We’re going to camp in a month. We’ve got a starting quarterback. I’m not out there enticing or trying to convince [Tebow] to come to Montreal because he’s [not] going to be a starting quarterback. He would be coming to Montreal to be a backup player ... to learn the game and, maybe, in the future, he’ll be able to compete for a starting job.” -

gport_tennisI still say to this day, the Rex Ryan brought tebow there to single handedly destroy his football career. No intentions of ever using him, grab some quick attention while ruining his career. Tebow in Denver was much better than Sanchez in new York last year

And how would destroying Tebow's career benefit Rex Ryan?gport_tennis;1436917 wrote:I still say to this day, the Rex Ryan brought tebow there to single handedly destroy his football career. I can't believe people still hang on to Tebow's fluke season where Denver had change their ENTIRE OFFENSIVE STRATEGY to cater to his style hide his flaws. -

Why in the world would Rex want to do this?gport_tennis;1436917 wrote:I still say to this day, the Rex Ryan brought tebow there to single handedly destroy his football career. -

LOL. Yeah, rex asked his gm to waste a draft pick on Tebow, just so he could ruin Tebows career and gain quick attention. All this despite the fact Rex knows as a NFL head coach, no job is ever safe. Great theory :rolleyes:gport_tennis;1436917 wrote:I still say to this day, the Rex Ryan brought tebow there to single handedly destroy his football career. Not to mention Denver's defense carried that team in all those wins.Automatik;1436919 wrote:And how would destroying Tebow's career benefit Rex Ryan?

Those on the side of james harden now feel a little less confident about that debate considering this guy is a big harden supporter. -
gport_tennis2011 Tebow: 47% completion, 2400 yards overall, 18 touchdowns, 8 turnovers, (2900 yards, 21 tds, 9 turnovers including playoffs) team win-loss record in starts 7-4(8-5 including playoffs). Defense ranked 24th in points allowed giving up 390 points.
2012 Sanchez: 54% completion, 2900 yards overall, 13 touchdowns, 26 turnovers, ( 2900 yards, 13 touchdowns, 26 turnovers including playoffs), team win-loss record in starts 6-9( 6-9 including playoffs.) defense ranked 20th in points allowed giving up 375 points.
They traded for tebow for a reason, they wanted the attention he would bring without actually wanting him. Looking at the numbers that Mark Sanchez put up, I see no reason why they shouldnt give a quarterback that they traded for a chance. They still had a chance to make the playoffs with three weeks to go despite of how poorly sanchez played. Make a switch and who knows what happens. You can not look at those numbers and think it is laughable that Mark sanchez is clearly superior and Tebow should be laughed out of the league.
Also: 4th year starting for sanchez, 1st-2nd year starting depending on how you view it for tebow.. -

I think he has some sort of personal vendetta against him, Maybe it has something to do with the loss to tebow and the broncos where broncos came from behind late in the game. It just doesnt make sense that you would trade a 4th round pick(going off memory, could be wrong) for a backup qb, and yet refuse to use him when your starter absolutly stinks it up. But Rex ryan made it clear that he had no intentions of ever using Tebow, so then why not release him when the season is up. Nope they wait until after the draft (even though the whole league knows that they will cut tebow) while teams fill all of their needs, just to make sure that tebow has no where to go. I just really think that Rex wanted to end the "tebowmania", and well he did it. -

Hard to argue with 26 pts, 5 rebounds, 6 assist per game. Only kobe, lebron, and Harden put up those numbers -

Why, yes. Rex signed a very popular (with fans) quarterback whose mere presence would cause issues for his mediocre, mentally fragile starter due to how fans would scream for him to step in the second Sanchez threw a pick for no reason other than to ruin that guy's career. That is perfectly logical and definitely states "I'm a head coach and would like to remain employable in the future."gport_tennis;1436953 wrote:I think he has some sort of personal vendetta against him, Maybe it has something to do with the loss to tebow and the broncos where broncos came from behind late in the game. No one said Sanchez was a good QB and no one thinks Tebow should be a starter. If anyone saw potential in him, they would have signed him and not let him walk. You honestly believe Rex Ryan wanted to before just so he could run him out of the league? Wow, I don't think there could be a dumber theory out there. -
Tiernan
Gport I hate Ryan & Tebow as much as anybody, probably more... but this is a stretch even for me. But I like your style of sticking to an absurd idea and running with it. Nice job and let's see more of this outside the box stuff.gport_tennis;1436965 wrote:I don't have any proof, and I could definitely see how some could think it is a far fetched idea. Had no where to go? I also read an article where they said they shopped him around and received zero interest. It's not Rex wanting to ruin Tebow's career. You're reaching big time. The answer is simple.....he's not good. -
Gblockwell lots of teams just signed a ton of undrafted qb's etc..but after camp and seeing some of these guys play they may then decide that tebow is a better option for a 3rd qb spot than what they have so its still possible he gets picked up very late by someone
-
Heretic
Possible, but that club better know what they'd be getting into with the headaches having him around as a #3 guy. Considering his popularity would be causing his unrealistic fans (SoS, gsport) to be calling for him to start immediately and every single time the starter made even one mistake. "I don't care if he's a former MVP who threw for 350 through three quarters, he just fumbled after getting sacked!!!! TEEEEEEEEEEEBBBBOOOOOWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!"Gblock;1437182 wrote:well lots of teams just signed a ton of undrafted qb's etc..but after camp and seeing some of these guys play they may then decide that tebow is a better option for a 3rd qb spot than what they have so its still possible he gets picked up very late by someone
I think it'd be more realistic for him to be signed mid-season by an injury-riddled team at QB, where he'd come in and immediately try to spark a team that's probably already doomed anyway, as I can't imagine too many non-trainwreck teams wanting the drama that comes with Tim as back-up.
Or a trainwreck team could sign him. That, in a nutshell, is why he was with the Jets. They're a fuck-up of an organization that seems really dysfunctional at the upper levels. There are other teams that could fit that bill, although, unfortunately for Tim, Al Davis is dead and Jerry Jones signed Romo to a lol-worthy extension, so that could take out two of the most dysfunctional as potential landing spots. -
gport_tennisTim tebow has been signed by the patriots and is expected to be in camp tomorrow
