20/20 hindsight says they should have tried and made Simon or Corky beat them!

Then it turns into probably the best game of the year!

    That was awesome

Then again, it was Cesar Izturis about a decade after he was a decent player...

Had to leave in the 13th to go to softball practice. On my way my buddy calls and says he needs a ride. He gets in and says thanks frazier. Then victory happened. He was silent. Lol. I didn't say a word. I let marty do all the talking.

Exactly how Dusty likes to use his token guys.

Such a frustrating and awesome game to watch.

I feel bad for the Cubs. After having maybe the worst game of his career, I think Votto is going to go off the rest of this series.

Also, I said that after Bruce hit his HR and got over that hump I thought he was going to go on a nice little tear. That double in the 13th makes that prediction look good.

Bruce is one of the players that will go 1/25...then go 8/15 with 4 HRs. It's frustrating, but it is what it is.

Yeah, I think most teams have at least one guy like that, where you want to love him, but instead just go through wild mood swings with them where you want them out of the line-up one week and wonder why they're not in the MVP conversation the next. I know with the Pirates, Pedro Alvarez has hit three homers in something like the last 4-5 games. After batting under .100 with no production for the first 14-15. Which happens every year. After a while, you just realize guys like that are either red hot or ice cold and they just don't have much (if any) of a happy medium.

To be fair to Bruce, he was hitting .275 going into last nights game, and has been pretty good outside of the first 3 games of the year. He's hitting .319 w/ a .388 obp since April 5th. Only 3 games since then has he not had at least one hit.
