-
Azubuike24Props to TT!

osu45804I'm surprised to not see Choo in the lineup... I thought I heard them say during a broadcast that his goal was to play every game this season

There's a lot of innings left for him to have a chance to get in!osu45804;1427689 wrote:I'm surprised to not see Choo in the lineup... I thought I heard them say during a broadcast that his goal was to play every game this season -

Props to TT for getting this thread started -
wildcats20That looked gone to me.
-
wildcats20Looks to hit the concrete barrier behind the yellow line, IMO.
-
mhs95_06If they had a view from CF it would show it cleared the wall, hit something behind and bounced back onto the field! Did the CF camera not follow the flight of the ball?
-
wildcats20Ruled a double, I'm still not positive.
-
Azubuike24Votto might be the first player ever to post an OBP twice his AVG...it's staggering.
After that, .289 AVG, .529 OBP... -
wildcats20BP drives in Cozie.
-
mhs95_06The no HR call did not cost the Reds the run!

That OBP isnt even twice his AVG...??Azubuike24;1427711 wrote:Votto might be the first player ever to post an OBP twice his AVG...it's staggering.

Yes, I know, thanks Mr. MathLaley23;1427715 wrote:That OBP isnt even twice his AVG...??
It's about as close as it can get though, which was the point, and every time he's getting on base lately, it's a walk. When he actually swings, it's a ground out or a whiff. -

lol I know.Azubuike24;1427718 wrote:Yes, I know, thanks Mr. Math

But, realistically, if Bonds didnt do it, I dont think Votto can. -
Azubuike24While true, it won't be because Votto doesn't have a better eye. It will be because the pitcher's start realizing that the guy MUST PROVE he is still the overall best hitter in the game. He hasn't been worth squat since the knee injury. They are pitching him like he is...but I've never seen a guy miss so many prime pitches.
He's getting pitched to like he's unstoppable...yet he has hit about 4 balls hard ALL SEASON! -

I wasnt saying Bonds is the end all be all eye at the plate. But he didnt get shit to hit for half a decade. He was getting walked with the bases loaded in 2 run games. The guy was just not getting pitched to.Azubuike24;1427721 wrote:While true, it won't be because Votto doesn't have a better eye. LOL! No it was really the fly out by Bruce that actually killed the rally. Now Frazier's HR was more like a rally killing one. But it was good in that insured an add on run in the inning and assured they would clear the #9 spot in the inning. Meso's double made a crooked number inning possible.SportsAndLady;1427717 wrote:Rally killing single by BP  -
wildcats20RBI triple for Leake.
-
osu45804Robinson w/ his 1st Career RBI... 4-0
-
mhs95_06CF bit off more than he could chew calling for that ball that Heisey had measured!
