If the caps roll with Holtby I could see them making a huge run he's been lights out the last month in Hershey

Should do better as a TEAM. Jack Mother Fucking Johnson should get the "C" this year as well.

Well, the Caps won't be running a 1-4 neutral zone trap this year so it will be interesting to see.

Will they at least get it next year? If not, they should at least give them the winter classic at the shoe or something.

There is no ASG next year because of the Olympics. Everyone expects columbus to get it back in 2015.

This is what I was wondering as well.

Winter Classic 2014 will take place at the Big House. I expect Columbus to get the ASG back in 2015.

I wil be attending both in that case. This year should be a blast and hopefully everyone trying to do their own little boycott keeps the prices down on tickets so I can go to many this season

AHL doesn't translate into the NHL. Also, i hope the caps go winless.

It's not as massive of a difference for goalies though. It's AAA and there's always a few NHL caliber players there. You just don't get top 6 quality guys

Yea, the AHL is basically just shinny.

You really went full retard today.

City of Columbus bails out mismanaged team. Lockout cancels all star game.

I do agree with this. I had season tickets to the providence bruins for 11 years and the top prospects to come out were always goalies. Their top forwards never did anything in the NHL.

After the Board of Governors and NHLPA ratify the new CBA, probably the end of this week. MLive.com reporting that Detroit will open on the road against St. Louis and Columbus, 1/19 and 1/21: http://www.mlive.com/redwings/team/1357746458-399-919/red-wings-expected-to-open.html

My guess is Columbus opens against Nashville.
