Did anyone else find it bush league that Denver was sending safety blitzes under 2:00, and up by 75? Punk-ass play IMO.
  • Tigerfan00
Im just happy theres only 1 game left which will be another ugly game but they should move up a few more spots in the draft after next week though.

Not really. Pat hadn't throw in the towel at that point, so anything Denver did was fair game.

Take best QB available every draft until you get a QB. Look how much better off the Skins are with RG3..you think they care they're not going to be able to add a DE in the first round next year? Or a guard in '14?
Isn't this what they tried to do, though? Luck and RG3 were gone, everyone on this forum shit on Cousins during the weeks leading up to the draft, and it's fair to say we should have drafted Wilson, but he didn't go until the 3rd round to a team with a big money QB, so which scouts honestly expected him to play like this? I'm not trying to argue with you, but they drafted who they thought was the best available QB.

Tannehill would have been best player available at the time of our first pick.

Lol...tannehill at 4? Cleveland would have burned to the ground.

    Excuse me while I LOL.

Haven't paid that much attention to his stats this year, but from what I saw from him in a few games he seemed better than what I thought he'd be.

He was just a rookie (you can use that excuse with a 22 yr old, not so much a 30 yr old)
  • royal_k
Because a 30 year old rookie has how much NFL experience?

Look im not going over this again..if you seriously think Weeden has any upside idk what to tell you other than I own some great land for sale in flint Michigan. Pm me if interested.

Im not gonna harp on the fact I've been right about Weeden. I don't care, I just want to move on and improve our QB situation and feel good about it...all of us. Not half the fanbase like its always been.

We get it S&L, you don't like Weeden. You can put down the dead horse. Thanks.
  • Commander of Awesome
LMAO at you suggesting we should have taken Tannyfail though. Would have been same issue with him as Weeden, Patty fuckhead head would have been up his ass and refused to put him in position to succeed. Not sure why Tannyfail would have all of a sudden been all pro with Patty as his OC/HC. Logic fail.
  • royal_k
I believe we can agree to disagree. Obviously I feel differently about the QB situation. I don't believe he was put in the best situation to succeed. I think with the right coach and the right offense he can be a very good QB. He's had big success from the shot gun, and the WC offense has none of that. I think you'll see that next year.

Agree with you royal_k. Patty boy fucking sucks and ruined his chance at success.

Good coaches tailor their schemes to fit their players. Shurmur didn't do that with Weeden or Richardson.

Yeah, just imagine what a trainwreck RG3 would have been here. Shurmur would have tried to make him a pocket passer...smh

I don't like Shurmur, but he didn't make Weeden inaccurate and a terrible decision maker.

That's all part of it. When you're not comfortable in the offense you won't play as well. And part of that is also inexperience, no matter what his age is.

I do agree he made bad decisions at times and wasn't as accurate as needed.
  • Rotinaj
Weeden and Shurmur both suck. Even though I don't see Weeden panning out you don't draft a guy in the first round and give up on him after his rookie season. He'll get one more year to prove himself and I'm fine with that.

I'm fine with it as well, just because I don't think there's a QB in this draft that gets the Browns over the hump. I'd prefer to use this draft to fill other posisitons of need, then focus on QB the following year, whether it be through the draft or free agency.

I agree. The last thing I want is them reaching again...just like they did for Weeden.

Wtf are you talking about coa? I literally just said in my previous post im not looking to harp on Weeden. I also never said I wanted them to take tannehill. I just said technically he was the best player available from where we were at.

And you can keep believing shurmur ruined Weeden. Its wrong, but you can keep believing it if you want. I don't care. As long as we move away from him.

I'm not sure how I feel about Mallet coming over with McDaniels, if he is the next coach, either.
